MEME: Veritaserum pt. II

VERITASERUM pt. II:
Oh no! Your character has been dosed with Veritaserum, and they're compelled to be completely honest in response to anything said to them.

Post a comment with your character's name in the header, and then other characters can come ask them questions, or maybe just engage in some awkwardly truthful chats.

Have fun!

Continued from PART ONE.

Suggestion: If you feel like it, put a fun ("fun"?) question in your character's top level comment and see what people answer with!

I can totally understand that fear. I have it too.

Daddy has had a few very close calls, his work is very dangerous.

My dad was the same way. My step dad isn't into such dangerous things unless some oil pipe line explodes under our house which I really doubt that could ever happen because there isn't one.

Or perhaps that is his way of pretending he is concerned when in actuality he hopes to reap the benefits of the oil? Maybe there is a pipeline you aren't aware of. Is he a muggle? Muggles do have a strange preoccupation with oil, or so I have read. They fight wars over it.

Oh yes, he's a muggle. Apparently there were a few of my fathers family that were magical but they were, for lack of a better word, removed from my life. It's how Issak has his money, all tied up in oil and land. Nothing too dangerous really. I think he would be very excited to have some in the backyard.

That actually explains a lot, come to think of it.

Perhaps he does, and maybe he has every reason to be worried about it. It's terribly dangerous, maybe not physically, but politically I am sure.

I know very little about the ins and outs of his job. Seems safer and a bit easier this way. I never knew what my father did I don't dre the need to know for sure what Issak does. I know generally what he does.

But it doesn't trouble you to be left in the dark like that?

I'm very glad Daddy and Mummy trust me enough to tell me about the work they do.

I don't feel the need to know all of it. Sometimes it better to keep everything in the dark.

But you're so prying about everything else, how is that any different? That's a shame. The truth always makes one stronger.

Then how ever will you know how to protect yourself when such secrets come to light? They always do. Best to know as much as you can to be prepared.

Don't trust anyone. It's a good rule.
