Hey TEAM GOOSEBERRY KIDDOS! I totally zoned and forgot to post about the mandatory team shindig Clem had you all participate in this afternoon.

It was a fairly low key affair in which her primary goal was to get people to relax and have fun, because we're all competitive perfectionist assholes here and she knows that a couple of you are probably stressed out about the game (SHE IS FOR SURE). Activities included:

  • Human Knot, the teambuilding game where you all hold hands at random and then have to untie yourselves.
  • Spider Web, a physical puzzle in which you have to get each member of the team through a different hole of the web and can't touch the threads of the web. This is usually a low ropes course thing but in this case was done with a ~magically conjured~ web, because fuck it, we're wizards. Clem set up the web so that there are only 4 holes you can feasibly get through without someone picking you up.
  • Freeze!, the improv game in which two people improvise a scene and anyone watching can "freeze" them, tag in, and unfreeze improvising a totally unrelated scene with the same positions.
  • A game Clem calls Mountain Lion, in which she is the mountain lion (natch) and you are all deer. She stands in a marked circle (the watering hole), which you may approach from any angle. You can only move when she's not looking at you. If she sees you moving, you're out. The goal is to get part of your body into the circle without her noticing.
  • Ten Fingers, which is like Never Have I Ever without the alcohol. She's gonna try to keep people on task asking non-dirty questions for this game, cause her intention is that you learn about some cool life experiences your teammates have that you didn't know about, not gauge their sexual prowess.

If you guys wanna discuss how that all went this is the place to do it, but it's just gonna be an OOC and not a IC/OOC because it's been a long week and I am very tired.

Go go Goslings!

Chris missed practice, napped through lunch and showed up for the mandatory bonding. Chris was more somber than usual. But unlike actual bonding activities he didn't really complain. He's just compliant as fuck on Saturday apparently.

Things somehow revealed during ten fingers by Chris that can now be considered canon knowledge to the team:

- knows the house elves at gooseberry by name
- Has had a job since he was fifteen.
- Has broken his arm six times, seventeen ribs, his leg once, his nose four times, his collarbone twice, and five fingers. Obviously not all of that was done while at gooseberry.
- Started learning Spanish when he was five.
- Once wrote a persuasive essay when he was ten to explain why he deserved to get out of detention for punching another kid in the face. He brought visual aids and cited his sources.
- hes actually really good at emulating accents, especially east coast accents. He emphasized this by doing several east coast accents.
- gave up pot and alcohol for lent and hasn't failed that yet.

"Never have I ever punched someone in the face" was a smart play for whoever made it (not Clem, because she has)

Sweet darling Jeffy didn't realize he was in the minority on that one.

Chris would note that he received extra credit on that essay.

He didn't get out of the detention. But he got an A.

Reid was easy to make participate in things, but... was also probably quick to get frustrated when it became too hard. As Clem is a Good Captain, I'm going to assume she was able to get him to complete the tasks with minimal groaning and scowling.

Ten Fingers was a real struggle for him. So was Freeze. Reid has one acting mode: Block of Wood.

Surprising literally no one, Jeffy loved every single one of these games. He's...very nervous about the game, because he's very aware that as one of the two youngest people on the team that if they fuck up there will be a lot of speculation about how things would have gone if they'd put Levi on first string, but this MANDATORY FUN is a GREAT DISTRACTION!!! He was also really glad to see Chris wasn't actually dead.

I should do this for real. Yes, Leo chose what to share during Ten Fingers. He participated without any complaint in everything, though, since its Clem. He was also no good at Freeze. He was probably very good at being an antelope, though.

i know it's a real camp game but i'm pretty sure it's not called mountain lion, so antelopes seem like a likely candidate for real terminology
