MEAN GIRLS DOIN' STUFF
Hey everyone!

Your local Mean Girls are going to be trolling people on Valentine's Day, and I don't want to assume anything about what they would or would not know about your characters' love lives. As such, if you want to lend us a hand, please consider a few questions and maybe let us know...

❤ Would they know who your character is dating?

❤ Would they know who your character has a crush on? Is there anyone it might SEEM like they have a crush on?

❤ Are there any messy love life details that are public knowledge?

❤ What and who are you not okay with them going after?

As always, there's no guarantee they'll pick on anyone in particular so... I probably can't help you with specific requests. This is just to help give us ideas. THANKS.

OKAY. Let's talk about FEELINGS.

Cecil is dating Levi (have you heard?!). It's public knowledge that this is Cecil's first relationship and it's obvious that he's completely smitten with Levi. They're very openly affectionate (lots of hand-holding and kissing hello/kissing goodbye and all that) and generally seem happy, even if Levi's public antics sometimes render Cecil so embarrassed he can't function (he's all blushing and 'ohmygodLevi'). This relationship got very serious very quickly, partially because they've been close friends since sophomore year and partially because they're both romantic in ways that the other can get swept up in. Cecil tries to stay grounded, but this is one situation in which he really can't.

Despite being a very obvious odd couple and despite frequent criticism on the Anonymous Posts, Cecil feels very secure in his relationship and trusts Levi. While he doesn't necessarily like Levi's flirting with Chris, he tends to take it in stride better than most people would and better than some of his friends do. It's just Levi being Levi and it's not that big a deal because it's just words. He knows Levi wouldn't hurt him and it's not secret that he feels this way. This would be difficult to undermine without some real work, especially because he's accustomed to being targeted for this sort of stuff. It's not impossible, though.

Casper recently ended things with his former-girlfriend Katya because he's been having personal problems since December and doesn't feel like he should be with anyone right at the moment. He's too angry and too volatile and too likely to pull fragile Katya (who he wants to protect) down with him. He didn't really give her a chance to talk him out of it; he just did it. This breakup was very quiet and very civil and they both still care about each other (though it's strained at times), but it's obvious that they're not longer a couple. He's still pining over her a little, but has no desire to get involved with anyone right now. He's been spending a lot of time lately with Asher (his bff), Rafael, and Leo, so there could be rumor fuel there, especially with Rafael because the other boy in love with him during the Amortentia debacle a few months back. Additionally, he recently recieved a locker full of flowers, letters, and sweets from an unknown person. This isn't widely known, but a clever Mean Girl could've seen him open his locker that evening and the resulting avalanche. How interesting.

Cole, in the aftermath of the Amortentia debacle, came to think he was in love with Coralee Wong. These feelings confused him immensely because he's never been in love, never been physically attracted to anyone, and is just generally a lowkey guy in the emotions department. As a result, he's spent the last few months pining over her awkwardly, drawing her a lot, and getting roped into being her sophomore slave (making her dresses and other gifts). Coralee kept this from becoming too widely known (correct me if I'm wrong there, Josie?), but Cole was also a puppy at her and this could've been noticed. Recently, however, after seeing her lash out at Calvin and seeing her callousness regarding Ulysses disappearance, these feelings have started to shift and he's not sure how he feels about her. Complicating this further is a more genuine crush starting to develop on his close friend and roommate Calvin. The two had a kiss playing spin the bottle at the Grotto the other night that at least one person took note of (hi Hazel~) and that he very much enjoyed. He's kissed other friends before and those were nice, but this one was different.

Long story short (too late?), he's very confused and could be tipped one way or another (at least for a while) depending on Mean Girl intervention. If they want to go after one of their own a little too.

Ty is dating Quinn!!! As of a few days ago. While this wasn't announced on the journals or anything, it became public knowledge after he climbed the Ornery Oak to tie a ribbon on the top for her and after some very public displays of affection. The two have been FWB for months and he's taken her to a couple of dances, so this likely isn't a huge surprise. One complication, though, is that she's the ex-girlfriend of his best friend, Rafael. While this sounds potentially messy, though, Ty and Quinn and Rafael and Leo (Raf's current boyfriend) are all very close and hang out togethre a couple of times a week at least. Prior to getting involved with Quinn, Ty had a handful of casual sexual partners and was openly not interested in getting into a relationship and there are times that he doubts whether or not he's meant for this sort of thing. Mostly, though, that doubt doesn't show and he's all sunshine and rainbows right now.

The only other complication (which a handful of the Mean Girls might know about -- especially after the PTC) is that he's the youngest son of a very wealthy, very traditional pure-blood family that would definitely not approve of this match.

Gavin ...is brand new! So there's not much to say here. He's single, he's never dated, and he spends almost all of his time with his twin brother. Shut up. That's not weird. He's flirted and shown a passing interest in both girls and boys in the past, but it's never gone anywhere. I'd be happy to pin down some specifics if anyone wants to have a minor connection to him on that front.
