ANNOUNCEMENT: Where's Wesley?

As many of you have gathered, Wesley Carpenter was pulled out of school by his parents and will not be returning. His roommates were informed today, and that information can be considered public knowledge.

That character name is going to remain untouched. Wes will remain part of game canon, and his PB will not be available for use.

In the future, the empty spot in the cabin is going to be filled by... Damon Evercreech. Damon will be a Hogwarts exchange student who came under special circumstances. He's the older brother of Calvin Evercreech (evercreep), and will arrive when someone actually applies for him! This means that not only will you have a bratty little brother, but you'll get to play his arrival in America.

This will be finalized later, but if you're interested, you can contact Meggie for more information on the Evercreeches. She's willing to retcon elements of the Evercreech brothers to provide more flexibility.

Ty feels like shit about this, honestly. He wasn't as close with Wes as Rafael was, but he definitely feels like he should've taken his struggles more seriously and feels guilty that he didn't reach out more. He wasn't the one making jokes or bullying Wes, but he didn't do much to stop that or help him feel better either.

There's probably an undercurrent of 'well, I hope you're happy' for Chris and Robin, but he's pretty bad at maintaining a cold shoulder and doesn't want to fight. So we'll see how that goes. Mostly, though, he's worried about Rafael because he knows how much this will hurt him. He'll be a protective and attentive and worried buddy for a while aaaaand, if he gets the impression that Raf doesn't really want to talk but he still wants to hang around, there will likely be hanging out with a squirrel time. Don't be sad, Raf, look how cute he is! (He's not five, Ty.)

Quinn will likely hear about all of this from him too.

	If anyone says to Robin he was bullying Wes he'll get pretty upset and might kind of lash out. :/ because he wasn't and he feels like he and chris get dog piled on as a convenient excuse, and also because the cabin situation is indirectly contributing to his grades declining and he is freaking out and not handling that well. 	Ty :( Rafael's going to be... clingier? He definitely Doesn't Want To Talk, but for the time being, Ty's extra attention will be well-received. 	Tyyyyyyy :C Hugs are ok, Ty is in the acceptable hugs friendship inner circle. Rafael is just spread thin and might not be... as attentive of a prefect as he usually is for a little while because he knows he can't handle Chris or Robin rationally if certain topics come up. Chris doesn't perceive it as bullying either. He basically agrees with Robin. Which is likely Bc he understands Robin better and knows that Robin honest To God believed that wes had been abducted by aliens. Which he knows can be read as insulting but he knows how Robin gets when he has suspicions and he knows it's not malicious.

He believes that everybody favored Wes's emotions and feelings over his behavior and enabled wes to lash out and be a dick with no real repercussions.

But I think Ty's low key blame will feel more insulting to Chris than Rafael's since Rafael thinks he's s bully but Ty is supposed to know him.

Regardless of what Robin or Chris believe, though, they knew the impact they were having on Wes, didn't seem to care, and pushed on anyway and belittled his feelings about all of it. Ty considers that bullying. He agrees that Wes lashed out and was unfair sometimes, but mostly thinks of this as reactive and something he can't be entirely blamed for. Though he could've handled things better.

Ty does know you, Chris. And he loves you. That doesn't mean he can't think you're a dick sometimes. :(

Robin's also upset bc he feels like his beliefs were getting shat on and treated like a joke by everyone, like he's just the dumb hillbilly who believes in aliens, let's all laugh at him. (Robin also often thinks people are laughing at him for being a dumb hillbilly, Robin has a lot of insecurities and deflection tactics about his intelligence.) So now he's wondering when he gets the sympathy and the freedom to lash out bc that sounds nice man.

Which is probably how Rafael feels. How Chris and Robin feel is that they aren't close to wes so wes never told them about his feelings and they didn't realize he was taking it that hard until the end there. Chris wasn't on the OE trip so it all seemed distant to him. Until Cricket asked him to lay off of Wes, which he tried to do but by then Wes was withdrawn and had a smartass comment everytime Chris tried to be nice to someone. Which obviously ... chris has tonrisento the bait. He just can't not. He even tried to apologize. So he feels like it was a lot more complicated than them dogpiling wes until wes finally left.

But it was kinda like participating in a car crash. Like the tension in the cabin annoyed Chris but he didn't know how to fix it? Or stop contributing to it. So it just got steadily worse? And this is probably gonna make it worse which is gonna annoy Chris more

Also, just to clarify re: Chris' response to Robin, obviously the second abduction and the other Weird Shit that's happened played a part in Wes going too. Ty agrees. But the atmosphere in the cabin certainly didn't help and Uly seems to be getting more support from his cabinmates than Wes ever got from his (except Raf). Hence the guilt for himself and the blame for Chris and Robin. Yep.

To be fair, Chris told Robin to stop asking Wes about aliens ages ago (I'm not going to make myself dig through all of Chris' entries to find when bc Chris you update daily), and Robin was like, ok fine and never pushed it again, even when Robin felt like he was getting teased about it. But Robin does feel like he's teased about believing in aliens more than Wes was ever teased about potentially being abducted (nm the fact that Robin also asks questions I found on a satirical ufo abduction site and makes a joke out of himself, satire is the new truth you guys).

	The funny part dude Is that Chris went to the compound Bc it was all a joke to him and he wanted s good laugh And he came out of it with more respect for Robin?
