Wanted lines! Time to plot! Time passes so quickly it ceases to hold any meaning for me! Take this as an opportunity to discuss character development, and talk about lines you might want to build with one another.

Chris Park (part one)

Character Name: Christopher Park
House and Year: Senior Coppertale
Classes: Occlumency, Artificing, hermeticism, defense against the dark arts, potions, transfiguration, charms, history of magic
Extracurriculars: Archery, gaming, LARP, OE, coppertale quidditch (beater), Gooseberry Quidditch (beater and captain), unofficial: Gooseberry Hockey League Shinny
Current State: Okay so, things are going super good for Chris.

1.) He's got a girlfriend that he kinda sorta really likes, and literally nothing has to change, they can just keep being assholes toward each other

2.) Quidditch. He's feeling a lot of pressure and stress because Coppertale is a perpetual fail. But now he's tried out for Team Gooseberry and not only actually made it, but made it as captain???? Did anybody actually think this was a good idea??????

3.) His senior project is going right on track, his grades are good.

4.) Since he started dating Rosy, he hasn't actually needed to rely on his rock, even when he expected to. Which is GREAT, but he's also low key concerned about knowing that as soon as he leaves school his rock will no longer work, and he's not sure he's ready to let go of the easy reassurance right at his finger tips, but he's obviously totally gonna need to because you can't just stay here forever, and who the fuck would even want to.

5.) The only shit that isn't awesome right now is that shit is really tense in the cabin. Which low key bothers him. Apparently according to the anonymous post, a couple people - not counting Wilde because he doesn't count - are under the impression that Chris is a bully. And they're not entirely wrong. But things have escalated between Chris (and Robin), Rafael and Wes, and that's left things super tense in the cabin. At this point Chris doesn't speak to Ramirez unless he has to, but there's a tension to the silence.

6.) Since the Gooseberry team is a privilege and a really freaking important privilege, Chris is taking it more seriously than he does most things and has vowed (and told his new team to vow) to not break any extreme rules. Which lbr, he's prolly gonna break, but for now, he's on the straight and narrow. ~~pot is totally on the straight and narrow, right guys?~~ It's okay though, because he already had practice for this when he made that bet with Quinn.

1.) Chris hasn't felt overwhelmed by school since he was a Freshman (which his roommates and a few select friends (like Quinn) were probably around to witness. Like sleep deprivation, trouble sleeping, lack of eating, general not taking care of yourself shit. BUT THIS YEAR he's got a lot going on, and eventually he's gonna crash and burn. He's not great at caring, but now he's the captain of a team that only gets two games to prove they matter. And coming from a team that has currently lost exactly two games, he's feeling intense pressure to do better, and that pressure is gonna keep building the closer they get to their first game.

2.) HOWEVER Chris is gonna try to take a completely different route to captaining as his own captain (which honestly, he doesn't mind the way Sy captains, it works for Coppertale). With Hockey, since a lot of the kids that join don't know what the fuck they're doing, Chris is understanding and patient with them, and it seems to be working. Even if they suck. So Chris is gonna try that for this. He doesn't wanna be too relaxed, he doesn't wanna be a complete hardass because he knows there's personalities on this team that won't mesh well with that. So he's gonna try to be calm and sure and patient. And overthink everything. Prepare for everything. Because failure is not an option. He's probably already started a binder. It's colorcoded. (It's helpful that Reid and Ana are on the team tho)

3.) Because he's overwhelmed and not increasingly great at multitasking, Chris is gonna start shirking other responsibilities based on their importance. He's gonna start sleeping in class mostly, and going back to napping in the lodge in between classes. This kid is just gonna be severely sleep deprived. His mind is gonna be on quidditch about 24/7. He's gonna start partying less, he's probably gonna start getting high more. BUT he's also gonna stop diverting energy toward intentionally antagonizing other people, because he doesn't have that energy to spare anymore.

4.) AND ALSO to preemptively prepare himself for losing his rock at the end of the year (quite possibly in the middle of finding himself sporadically reaching for his rock because he needs an inanimate object to assure him that every things totally gonna be fine) Chris is gonna hike out to the grotto and return the rock to the anonymous writer. Which will probably 100 percent not actually help his situation but hey it'll feel symbolic at the time. I'd say Robin will probably accompany him on that, but he doesn't trust your ass around his rock, Robin, so he needs a different friend to go with him.

5.) The hilarity is that chris is now captain to the four other captains in quidditch. That's not a plot, but I still find it funny so...

This isn't even an almost plot, but Chris and Rosy made a blanket fort after she broke his nose in the last hockey game, and Chris is gonna refer to that blanket fort for probably the rest of the school year, so I imagine it's just ... a permanent blanket fort. You can imagine that whenever he says 'meet me at the fort' that they then meet and rebuild the fort every single time, but I'm imagining they nailed it into the ground and it's just a part of Gooseberry now. Maybe they built it into a tree, a tree house blanket fort, WHO KNOWS, but it's there now. So if you want your random character to refer to a blanket fort in the trees, go for it, because it totally exists.

Anything Else: I neglected the shit out of this. I procrastinated so hard that I watched Teen wolf and Shadowhunters just so i didn't have to write this. And I wasn't even satisfied with either them. I'm not even sure I put anything useful here but it's pretty fucking long so ... I'm sure it feels useful. If anybody has any actual concrete plot or wants to do anything with chris or involve chris in anything ... hit me up. I'm greedy, I'll take everything.
