PARENT-TEACHER
CONFERENCE APPROVALS

If you plan on having your character visited by family, you must fill out this form by Thursday, January 19. If you fail to do this, you can't participate in the event. We won't be backdating these.

Feel free to use this post to plot and discuss amongst yourselves as well. There will be an upcoming, player-run meme to discuss family PBs so don't worry about that too much for now.

Please keep the following rules in mind:

You may have up to three individuals visit your character.

They must all be legally related to your character. Parents, legal guardians, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, step-parents and step-siblings are all allowed. Family friends are not.

They will be staying one night at Gooseberry. Each family unit gets one room to share.

Siblings must fill out this form individually if you want teacher feedback.

Your characters' family will receive feedback from all of their teachers... but we're only going to write it out for one teacher for our sanity.

We'll give you feedback as early as we can so that you can plan OOC in advance.

A mod will comment to you, giving you approval or asking for adjustments or clarification.

Things you will need mod involvement for, in order to account for NPC reactions and pacing:

Injuries or other health emergencies.

Any rule breaking by family members.

Incidents of abuse.

Violent or especially loud arguments that might raise the concern of staff.

Character:
House/Year:
Family: Who will be visiting your character? You can have up to three individual visitors. They must all be legally related to your character. At least one must be over 18.
General Plan: What do you intend to happen? This needs only be a rough description. Remember, any major events must be discussed with mods on this post before you go forward with them.
Teacher Desired: Your character must be in the teacher’s class or the teacher must be their Head of House, obviously.
Student Performance: Describe how your character is performing in this class, and how they react to the teacher. Try to avoid describing too much about how the teacher feels about them.
Anything else?: Are you hoping for a positive or negative response? Are you looking to get your character in trouble? Is there a particular outcome you’re hoping for? We will try to help you out within the bounds of the chosen teacher’s personality.

Cecil Honeychurch

Character: Cecil Honeychurch
House/Year: Azurcrest/Senior
Family: Ida Honeychurch (mother) and Aesop Honeychurch (father)
General Plan: Cecil has a ridiculously good relationship with his parents; he loves them and respects them and will be over the moon to have them at Gooseberry for a day or two. His dad is an energetic and eccentric fellow that will want to explore the campus as much as he can (little parents-and-kids hike anyone?), meet Cecil's friends and teachers, and check out Cecil's beehive (obviously!). His mom's kind but more serious and will be more focused on Cecil's acadmeics and talking with his teachers, though she'd also like to meet his friends and may come with baked goods (yes, she's the reason Cecil's like that). So...generally, fluff? Cecil predicted the Parent-Teacher Conferences and knows that it will be a good experience for him. As soon as he hears about it, he'll make that connection and be looking forward to it.
Teacher Desired: Mr. Chettri.
Student Performance: Cecil does well in Divination; he works hard to understand the different forms of divination and the theories beneatht them, practices diligently, and often consults Mr. Chettri about readings that he's done independently of class. While he's still trying to hone his talents and learn how to cope with vague or unpleasant predictions, he's a gifted seer. He also admires and respects Mr. Chettri and enjoys his class. He's definitely a teacher's pet.
Anything else?: This event will probably just be sunshine and rainbows for Cecil. At least with regard to his own family. Also, just to note: Cecil's mom is tall (about 6') but his dad is actually on the shorter side of average (about 5'9"). Genetics are funny.

Family: Daphnis Honeychurch
General Plan: While all three of the Honeychurch triplets wanted to come, the rules prevented that and the two weeks before the event saw the girls competing for the privilage, much to the amusement of their father and the exasperation of their mother. In the end, Daph won and will get to come along. Polite and sweet but considerably more headstrong and energetic than her brother, she'll have a million questions (she's kind of a chatterbox) and want to see everything, particularly because she and her sisters are considering applying to Gooseberry for next year. She'll want to spend time with her brother too, but she'll also want to spend time with Levi (who she just met over the holiday and who is clearly super cool) and meet other people on campus.

She may end up with a crush on a cool older sophomore boy that she'll bother Cecil about and maybe send a gift on Valentine's day, if anyone wants to be the object of a stupid crush?
Anything else?: Nope.
