RULES AND MEMES
Over the last week, a few things have been established about how detention and mail work at school! Here's that information for everyone:

Detention is served Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. It's not served on Fridays because Fridays are often irregular with monthly bonding. The staff is aware that some characters (cough cough Casper and Quinn cough) would probably rather serve detention than go to monthly bonding.

Detention takes place for 1-2 hours after dinner. What it entails depends on the teacher that gave it to you. If it's a sweeping detention assignment, such as with sledding, you default to your Head of House as the teacher overseeing what you serve and how.

Packages are magically screened when they arrive. There's a charm in place that detects alcohol, drugs, weapons, explosives, and other illegal materials. There is no way around this charm; it's exceptionally thorough. If the spell is set off, your character will be called into the lodge by their Head of House to open the package and see what caused the trouble. If it's something within the rules that just got caught in the wide net (cough medicine as alcohol, a new bow for Archery Club as a weapon), it'll pass. If it is contraband, it'll be returned to the sender. Kids will only get in trouble if it's blatantly obvious they're trying to sneak in contraband. Ms. Vector is harder than any of the others about this.

Letters without anything but paper in them can be dropped off straight to the tables by owls and ravens a la Hogwarts.

Hi. This is me like 24/7 trying to put on a happy face b/c bipolar is fun:

I would be a Ebonhide for SURE. Perfectionist (but not good at it which means stress forever), intense (especially about debate and education and SJ topics esp feminism), waaay too sensitive (everyone needs to love me)...yeah it's basically uncanny.

An would be a Gryffindor for sure-she's brave in some ways, but definitely brash. She acts without thinking things through, a very Gryff trait. She sorted into Wampus apparently, I think probably her loyalty to family being in there bc lol obviously she has some loyalty issues despite being mostly a good person.

Lach, as we know, is pure Hugglepuff. He obviously was sorted Puff, but he's loyal, kind, and has a quite sort of goodness that I think Helga would have loved. As such, he's a Pukwudgie too.

Vic is my Slytherin. Not that she's AMBITIOUS but she has very specific goals, she tends to work through people kind of transactionally, and I think she would be attracted to that houses' focus on action with plans rather than just acting out of boldness. Horned Serpent would for sure be her Ilvermorny house-a bit aloof? The thinkers? Yeah. While she's also goofy and a prankster, it comes from the liking to plot and plan side.
