Entry tags:! introduction, x-player: riley

Hey, everyone! My name's Riley and I'm new here. I don't believe I've played with any of you before, but correct me if I'm wrong :) I'm just throwing this up here quickly before I go to bed.

First off, I have Gavin Ogletree, Ebonhide Sophomore. His concept is "serial monogamist with a specialty in dramatics, scowling and magical theory," which sums him up pretty well. He's here with his twin brother, Garrett, and his older sister, Tabitha. Gavin is a teen boy with quite a few faces up his sleeve; he can be seen as the charming chameleon when it comes to figures of authority, the intensely sullen academic holed up in the library or as the pathetic loverboy that many of his friends know him as. To the student body at large, Gavin is quite put-together and snobbish. He's charming when he needs to be, but otherwise would rather have nothing to do with people he doesn't need things from. To his friends, he's the big Negative Nancy of the group, pointing out every flaw in plans they come up with. He does have a playful side, which comes out with his close friends, and any of his many past ex-girlfriends. Gavin is known for constantly being in a relationship and ~in love~. He's that dude who puts his whole heart on the line for a gal he likes, and is usually annoyingly smitten in a relationship.

Needs: Well, an entire line of ex-girlfriends probably. Close friends. Academic rivals and/or people he actually trusts to study with him (come on, don't waste his time if you can't keep up :| ). Also, people from Dueling Club.

Next is Martina Fanning ([info]smudging), Ribbonfin Sophomore. She's a beater on the Ribbonfin Quidditch team. Member of Archery and Equestrian Club, and a Member of Outdoor Exploration. Her concept is "bitchy farm girl with a side of shittalk and granola." Martina grew up living on a self-sustaining farm with her family. She was a scrappy fighter when it came time for school, and she was eventually sent to Magicrest as a means to sorting her out. She's a lot less physical now, but she talks some big game. She's self-sufficient to the point of stubbornness, causing her to be crap at asking for help. Marty is productive, independent and keen on asking intrusive questions because she can. Despite this, she's open-minded and although she's got quite the mouth on her, she's got friends from all over the social spectrum as she appreciates people who are unapologetically themselves. She's a great lover of the outdoors given her upbringing, and knows everything there is to know about plants and animals (only the ones she had on the farm) from fertilizer acidity to growth potions to healing broken bones. Other than this, she'll claim she knows little else, and desperately needs help with her schoolwork.

Needs: TUTORS: omg, she is so stubborn, but she needs the help, okay? Specifically in Potions and Transfiguration. I'm sorry, she's a little shit. FRIENDS from all over the social spectrum. She's hella loyal. QUIDDITCH BUDS. She's pretty rough and tumble, so she can't wait to get down and dirty with this crew~. HOOKUPS, PPL SHE'S FOUGHT/ARGUED WITH, OTHER.

Hi Riley! Welcome to the gaaaaame! I'm Aleena! I have two characters for you to consider in the mornin'.

Cressida Quayle (this journal). She goes by Cricket. She's the Senior Ebonhide prefect. She's from a well-known pureblood family in Olympus Tennessee, her dad is a MACUSA rep who is probz gonna run for President soon, and her mom is the Magical Martha Stewart. She's warm, excessively helpful, meddling, and also a very hard worker, academically. I've already established with Heather that Tabitha & Cricket are childhood friends, via fancy pureblood circles/MACUSA connections, so Cricket will definitely know Gavin fairly well. I can see her trying to be very involved in his life and a second big sister, always jumping in with unsolicited romantic and academic advice. She won't like it when he acts snobbish and might scold him a little bit (you're giving us purebloods a bad name!). Cricket doesn't have as many connections with Martina, but Cricket does her best to know everyone and she loves Pippa, so she probably lurks around the Ribbonfin Sophomore cabin sometimes. Also, she's a great resource for tutoring and also has a love of the outdoors and horses!

Jesse McBride ([info]ijustknowit). He's the Senior Azurcrest prefect. He's a self-assured bro type who can be crass and charmless sometimes, but is actually a fairly caring guy. He loves to party/drink and harass his co-prefect, Quinn. Despite first impressions, he's actually very intelligent in science/math/spell theory type areas. His Senior project is inventing teleportation for muggles, essentially. I don't see him getting along with Gavin, but he's also super laid back and can be civil with anyone. I don't see him crossing paths too much with Martina either, but WHO KNOWS!?

Thanks, Aleena!

Alright, so Gavin definitely thinks of her as his second older sister, and sometimes begrudgingly comes to her for advice. Though he rolls his eyes at her when she scolds him, he's very protective of her.

Sounds sweet!
