WANTED LINES MEME: December

Just like we promised, Wanted Lines is going to be a meme that will take place once a month, usually around the 1st. This will give everyone an opportunity to discuss their character development, and talk about lines they might want to build with one another.

So if you want to participate, fill out the following with each of your characters, then comment around and talk about their relationships and how your characters could interact now or in the future!

Character Name: Asher Guthrie
House and Year: Ribbonfin Senior
Classes: History of Magic. Hermeticism. Transfiguration. Charms. Wizard Literature. Magizoology. Astronomy. Animagus Studies.
Extracurriculars: His newsletter (not school sanctioned) Choir.
Current State: Asher hasn't really made it public knowledge that he was dumped - if his ex Seraphina is inquired after he normally gives a somewhat noncommittal answer, but if asked directly he will admit that they've been broken up for some time now. He's a bit weird about relationships at the moment, but acts mostly like his usual self around most people. He's just kind of doing his thing, putting his focus back in the newsletter that he let languish for a while when he was all into dating and stuff.
Looking For: Friends! I know I have a few fantastic people lined up, but I'm always looking for more more more. Asher loves to hear interesting stories also so if you have someone who would just want to talk to him forever, write something for the newsletter, or just be involved with it, that's a thing too!
Anything Else: Katie and I decided he can't ride a bike so sometime in the future we're going to shame him with his biking failure because it's funny and there are really great gifs. Also if there are any senior peeps out there who want to have dated him freshman year before he had his ~*epic romance*~ sophomore year he is available to be ex fodder, but I'm not seeking this out.

	I love Cricket <3 I'm up for them being close enough that she knows about the break-up and can try to give him advice on it which he will politely ignore. :D While they nerd out in the library. She won't push unless he is acting particularly down in the dumps or it comes up explicitly, which it doesn't seem like it will from his end. But she knows what happened and is protective of him and his HEART. She's not feeling like a crybaby so much anymore, but you can definitely say Asher got an earful during the first week or two of November about how BOYS ARE DUMB and DRAMATIC and SO MEAN.

OMG OK I NEED TO RESPOND TO THIS BEFORE I FORGET. BUT HELLO RIN. Ravi and Asher should be friends, please??? They've been roommates for years, of course, plus Ravi is a stone's throw away in New Jersey. They have a lot in common: passionate about books and reading, cares about defending people and defusing conflict, both prefer to be the person others rely on rather than leaning on other people. Ravi's goofy side is probably more obvious than Asher's, like he tries to portray himself as a Very Serious Prefect but he's very outgoing compared to Asher and loves to joke around and tease people.

Anyway, I feel like they'd click pretty well? Ravi's very supportive of Asher's newsletter, and Asher would probably be one of the people whose opinion Ravi really trusts. If he knows about Seraphina, he's probably been pretty concerned about how Asher has been doing—they have well-intentioned nosiness in common too, lol—but Ravi might also know by now that it's better not to pry into Asher's personal business. IDK, do you have any thoughts on that? :o

Yes yes yes to the friends. They'll suit each other really well as calm friends which I think is good for both of them - so many excitable people at Gooseberry means having chill ass people is all the more important :D Plus I nearly lost my shit when you said Ravi's type was 'dumpster fire' in the sledding thread so Asher is totally there to lend an ear that I'm sure he needs sometimes, lolol

Given their roommate status and the fact that I want them to be super frands I'd bet Ravi knows about break-up - it likely would have come up pretty quickly given their relationship and Asher wouldn't have tried to avoid telling him too much. He just wouldn't have said it unprompted. He won't hold any questions about his state against Ravi, he just might not be super forthcoming. Unless he's having a super bad day, or if he's like.. trashed.

I'm really excited to see how they work together because really I can see them just being the best and cutest :DD

OH MY GOD well speaking of dumpster fires, I guess Asher might one of the people who had to watch Ravi crush hardcore on Ricardo Ramirez (Rafael's narcissistic melodramatic older brother and the founder of LARP) for like three years. Ricardo is the reason Ravi claims to be Too Busy For Dating. THANK GOD RIC GRADUATED SO RAVI CAN START PUTTING HIS LIFE BACK TOGETHER lol jk he's still a disaster. there is going to come a day when ravi's messaging asher and isaiah to be like "feelings are awful, please talk me out of this because i'm Too Mature to have a crush"

Awww yes! I imagine Ravi could tell just from Asher's mood that Seraphina had broken it off with him, and they had a little talk that was essentially... "Asher are you ok" "nnnno BUT I WILL BE IF I JUST FOCUS ON WORK" "alright. :C" Ravi will leave it alone so long as Asher seems like he's trying to forget about it, but if Asher is depression-drinking or seems to be dealing with new relationshippy things, Ravi's definitely going to show some concern.

BUT YES I'M EXCITED ABOUT THIS TOO, I'd love them to be really close friends ;3;

OH MAN Asher is just like: Ravi bro no we need to stop this this is no ok, alright?! Find someone normal for once plz you're killing me bro. (Asher still loves you with all his heart, tho). He will try to give him good dating advice even though right now he's like: EVERYONE IS GOING TO BREAK UP AND BE SAD JUST WAIT and will also try to not tell him he needs to maybe reconsider what he thinks is hot but he'll be nice about it mostly. And will agree that feelings are awful.

Asher is about to be a shit show at this grotto party because he's kinda done with life at the moment but otherwise he mostly kept it together so sorry Ravi if you have to deal with his drunk ass. They have have some deep conversations then depending on what Ravi is up to about like.. life and shit being sad and having feelings at people?

I also really would love them to be really close ugh. Also he's now officially close enough that Asher will legit sing random shit at him when he's in a silly mood. Mostly 80s stuff. Also if you want to plot specifics from their past (like Asher trying not to beat Ricardo's ass for being a tool to save his bro form dumb feelings) or do some cute journaling or logging let me know because I'm already in love with their cute bromance.

	I think we only kind of briefly mentioned it but I kept meaning to message you again and then got distracted like a loser :( But yeah I can't imagine them not getting along, and given long time roomie life I'd say good friends would make sense! And they have choir together. I bet they're just kind of quiet at each other though?? hahaha (Reply to this) (Parent)
