WANTED LINES MEME: December

Just like we promised, Wanted Lines is going to be a meme that will take place once a month, usually around the 1st. This will give everyone an opportunity to discuss their character development, and talk about lines they might want to build with one another.

So if you want to participate, fill out the following with each of your characters, then comment around and talk about their relationships and how your characters could interact now or in the future!

Character Name: Jonathan Wilde.
House and Year: Ebonhide junior.

Classes:
CORE: Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, Herbology, Outdoor Education.
ELECTIVE: Astronomy, DADA, Magical Rudiments.
ADVANCED: Occlumency.

Extracurriculars: Archery, Dueling/Fencing, Quidditch (reserve), OE.

Current State: idk, just wilde-ing around. i'm still figuring him out in a lot of ways. c:

the amortentia plot affected jonny in that it's highlighted for him how irritating he finds a lot of people's attitudes re: relationships, blah blah blah. i mean. no surprise there. he's been semi-brooding a lot (kind of on his own time, and kind of pretty openly) about ~WHAT LOVE REALLY IS~ ... also he's put away his book of sonnets FOREVER

is at his most fun and tolerable outside of classes, or during electives, but he reaches the end of his rope with groups pretty easily and needs a lot of alone time. at OE he might be joking around and doing dumb shit for laughs one minute, then disappear to walk by himself for a while. the past few days, though, he's been even more of a loner than usual

Looking For: uh everything.

i get the feeling wilde is kind of intense about crushes or anyone he's ever dated for any period of time, so if anyone's interested in a dramatic ex or someone who maybe likes a girl way too much, lmk

maybe people he has active rivalries with? maybe not super crazy ones, but i feel like wilde is v much the arrogant/competitive type who has probably spent entire years trying to be better than various people in his classes (but in the most practised-y i'm-not-trying kind of way)

actual friends, lmao. he's a good one if he likes you!!

daredevil types who he maybe gets along with on that level. bet you can't do x y z very unadvisable thing! like... mutual respect.

people he can comiserate with re: sibling rivalry, even if he might not actually be super honest about his feelings or the reality of the situation

um! figuring out more ilvermorny relationships / who he's known for years & might feel comfortable/familiar with or have some kind of history with, idk. i'm super open. he would've been in wampus and kind of a troubled kid (what's new).

I'm not sure what the appropriate journal to reply to this is, BUT I totally missed replying to Wilde's intro and I need to share that I kind of completely adore him and his teenage melodrama.

Ursula is pretty ridiculously dramatic and intense in her own way and they have a lot of shared classes so IDK. But she's also an only child/non-Ilvermorny/non-daredevil/thinks poetry is pointless. But whatever, if she can listen to Kurt talk about gross animal stuff, I'm sure she can manage to chatter at Wilde.

Essie has a crush on him because Essie has a crush on like every non-Sophomore boy, but also because she likes skateboarding (it's one of her hodge-podgey basic skills) and has a hedgehog too. So it's entirely possible he's caught her gawking at him before.

idk i think he'd honestly be as ok with her as he ever is w people? they might not have much in common, but i think to an extent he recognizes peers who are maybe on the same wavelength when it comes to ~emotional expression~ or ~disdain for others/life/anything~

LOL essie.
wilde would let her hold sid/show her some weird hedgehog tricks forr sure.
and i think he'd actually be kind of excited that someone else is into skateboarding, even if the fact that it's essie would make him kind of a weird(er than usual) show-off about it.

oh nooooooooo okay based on that I think Wilde may have just shot himself to the top of Essie's crush list. I figured she would find some ~bad boy~ to crush after but ~brooding loner~ is just as irresistable. She is FIFTEEN now which is SO MATURE and he's ~so deep~. (And the gif of Sid is adorable. Life for Luna is probably a lot more like this. Teach Luna how to be such a smart hedgehog. :c)

I ALSO forgot to comment on your intro entirely, I am the worst. But here we are now oops. Leo is his Quidditch captain!! He loves his entire team even though (because?) they are the crankiest team around. But he can't complain in the pitch damnit.

And Addy has probably been trying to befriend him I imagine against his will since Ilvermorny. Teenagers who take themselves so seriously need to have some fun ok!

Cricket knows him from Ilvermorny, though they're from different houses. Plus, being an Ebonboy and a roommate of her brother's, she's got a weird allegiance to him.

Cricket can pretty much find common ground with anybody, so they can definitely be friends in some capacity or another. I don't think they have enough him common for him to have crushed on her seriously, but she's pretty and constantly in his space/cabin he could have a superficial crush?

Ok so if Jonathan is academically competitive AT ALL, he and Saira should get into it. She's like...you're not allowed to be better than her in school, ESPECIALLY if you're a boy. You're just not. She will turn into Jessie Spano on caffiene pills (or to use an analogy I like better because Empire Records is closer to my heart, Corey and her speed) just to out study you. She'll do it.

On the other hand, she can ABSOLUTELY commiserate re: sibling rivalry. Like it is most of her life.

	Ferris is a moody 'the world is horrible and people suck' Ebonhide sophomore. I don't know if it'll work with two people that sit around being moody teenagers together but she will stare grumpy over the world with him. She's also in OE and Archery with him.
