What up what up, time for another intro! This is Josie, and I'm bringing you Irene Lovelace~

• Ebonhide Senior! She's half German, half Welsh, and has the hybrid accent to match. Her name is pronounced ee-ray-nuh (bonus points if you roll the r!) but if your character doesn't have any classes/clubs with her, and only sees her name on the journals, it's okay for them to assume it's pronounced eye-reen. She... is used to it by now.
  
  
• First impressions: she's VERY guarded. She'll be the one watching from the sidelines rather than hurtling straight in, and never speaks/acts without thinking. Her concept is Buttoned-up bookworm longs for adventure, keeps secrets, and trusts no one. which probably says it all.
  
  
• Her dad is a werewolf and Irene will DIE before that secret is dragged out of her. She doesn't care how supposedly tolerant you are, she's seen enough prejudice and hatred to know not to trust anyone with this knowledge. Her family moved around A LOT growing up to avoid ~arousing suspicion~ with the neighbours, and although Irene doesn't volunteer any information about her past, if anyone asks her why she'll tell them it's because her dad is researching the history of wandlore in different countries.
  
  
• Her mother was a Gregorovitch, and although they're now estranged from that side of the family, Irene has wandmaking IN HER BLOOD. She wants to make a wand for her senior project. It's personal.
  
  
• Her mother died in March 2010, which precipitated the move to America. When Irene started Gooseberry that September she was obviously still grieving, and just wanted to lose herself in her studies, but discovered LARP and has used it as a way to process her issues ever since. Her character is Lindariel, an elven archeress with a tragic backstory. HELP ME OUT HERE, I have only the vaguest notions of how LARP works, and would like to know how Lindariel fits in with the other characters!
  
  
• Irene did the exchange programme, and spent her sophomore year as a Ravenclaw.
  
  
• Life has dealt her a pretty shitty hand, but she's determined to never be the victim. She chose to take Defence, Occlumency, Duelling/Fencing, and Archery because they make her feel prepared and in control. And being in control is v v v important to her.
  
  
• OTHER INFORMATION: She's poor and she hates it. She spends a lot of time in the library. She's secretly a romantic and a daydreamer. She likes languages and will tutor your character in Welsh or German if they have a burning desire to learn, and would also be interested in learning other languages from bilingual students here.
