I want to apologize for not being on more. I have had the flu for the past week and I have pretty much done nothing but sleep. I am feeling much better today, and hope to be back at full strength soon.

So, Beth with her third in a nutshell. Roger Davies. Roger is the much much younger brother of Owain. He's very much a fount of knowledge and welsh. Um, he's the English/Welsh representative for the BIL. And has recently remarried to one Ginny Weasley. He lost his first wife from pregnancy complications, but has a five year old daughter named Carys. Who is totally the apple of his eye. Um, he's all for a Welsh uprising and I am curious to see if he can form allegiances with other countries or what have you (his late wife was Scottish).

And I can't think if anything else, so play with me!

Hey guys! Sorry for being in and out this week. I ended up nearly being admitted to the hospital for being so dehydrated and sick. I'm actually feeling a lot better now, so I will be catching up on everything.

Ren and I have already talked about apps, and if there are any pending I will be doing them today as well to make sure we're catching up. If you have any questions please let me know. Ren and I really love how active you guys are an how much you want things to succeed.

It's 6.36 and I'm sleep deprived, so naturally I'm bringing you another intro!

This guy is Viscount Owain ap Davies - high ranking Welshman, cousin to King James of England (AND WALES, he wishes to point out), possible member of his council, reluctant attendee of court, even more reluctant fiancé to a woman 17 years his junior, godfather to a Crown Prince and educator in all matters Welsh.

Owain is 41 and quite a dour, sensible chap who prefers to spend most of his time on the Davies estates in Merlin's Bridge, Pembrokeshire. Officially a professional landowner and estate manager, he is unofficially King James' eyes and ears on the ground in Wales, quietly shoring up support for the monarchy. He brooks no nonsense and is not a fan of frivolity, and only shows up at formal events at court when asked very nicely by the Potters or basically nagged by his mother.

Speaking of said mother, Anwen Jones is the one responsible for his engagement 11 years ago to an Irish Duke's daughter (the female Travers), as he can't possibly keep his younger brother as his heir his whole life. He has never met the girl and only corresponded with her a handful of times through embarrassment at the situation - which could be good plot if a) the Irish want to meddle and try and stir Welsh rebellion through him by actually getting him wed, b) if the English want him to act as a double agent or c) if the Travers family are desperate for a match for their daughter and/or dislike the Flints/DGAF.

Plot with me! <3

Intro the 3rd! [05 Jan 2014|08:38pm]

Hey all! Jaime here with my 3rd, and a particularly interesting character that I've been dying to try out - your friendly neighbourhood Wizard Priest, Father Cormac McLaggen!

Father McLaggen is a young Irish priest, only out of seminary since last summer. He was a little wilder in his youth - parties, posh clothes, etc - and is the oldest son of the Duke of Limerick, but had a change of heart and found his destiny in the pages of the bible and the commitment (and self-denialism and just plain DENIAL) of the priesthood. He has very traditional, Catholic views on many things (am looking at you, King Marcus). He is also available for weddings, baptisms, mass, and confession.

Father Cormac is also quite a nosy little busybody who enjoys hearing confession a little more than he should, who sticks his nose in where it doesn't belong, and who sees very little difference between church business and political business - it's all to save the souls of the people. Of course, he also likes to be RIGHT and to hold that over other people's heads, but that's just part of his charm.

So am open to ALL the plots! Including the fact that our lovely priest here is an extremely closeted homosexual who, before turning to the priesthood, tried 'curing' himself with two women - am up for awkward plottages there too!

(And if you haven't commented on Anaïs' OOC entry yet - do it, do it now!)

Flora is 24 years old and, unlike many of her peers, actually attended Hogwarts - Ravenclaw, Class of 2000. Why, you might ask? Well, when born, she was her parents' third child and first daughter. Amycus and Hera Carrow sent their daughters to Hogwarts with the excuse that girls needed to learn to mingle, but in reality, they only wanted to pay for private tutors for their sons. Her older brothers, Julius and Antonius, died in separate incidents during Flora's fourth year which were covered up as a riding accident and attempted mugging respectively - but the reality was that both died from congenital heart defects, a fact the Carrows didn't want to become public knowledge. So, as it currently stands, Amycus and Flora Carrow are second and third in line to the throne after King Ernest's son, Prince Ciaran.

The girl herself might be a surprise to some of you who are familiar with my other version of Flora. This one is highly intelligent, breezing through even the tough theory heavy subjects in the NEWTs, and wanted to go into research but was sent to France after school, in order to kill time at the French court while her father decided what on earth to do with her. She ended up working as a high-class nanny for the last six years, including one incident where a court rival attempted to kidnap the child she was working for. Flora attacked the perpetrator and successfully subdued her, winning herself a bravery award from the French King. She is still devoted to the kids she worked for in France and forms close bonds with the families.

So, even though Prince Ciaran is the one step between the Carrows and the throne itself, following the recent death of King Padraig, Amycus called in favours and got Flora appointed as the Crown Prince's new nanny, both to get Flora under the eyes of eligible men at the court and to prove the Carrows' loyalty to the Macmillans. She returned from France early in the morning of New Year's Eve to attend the funeral and will begin her duties officially after Twelfth Night. Since hearing of her recall to Scotland, Flora has been using her brains to figure out ways she can impress the Dowager Queen and the King by devising new and improved top-security wards for the Crown Prince's suite.

The girl herself is very much a sweet, good natured and settled type who often appears to be daydreaming and with her head in the clouds - and as such, people don't always notice her brain and think she'll be a pushover and easy to manipulate. People who can or can't spot the difference will be interesting lines to play! Also, if her father doesn't successfully land her with an ennobled Scot or Irishman, she's definitely the type to fall for someone completely inappropriate, because her head in the clouds nature means she has never really thought about politics and so goes along with the crowd, not being vocal about the virtues of purism, anti-purism or anything similar (see, England, she's redeemable!). It would also be fun to see if someone spots this and tries to exploit that fact.

Plot with me!

Hello, my loves, Beth here with her second, Her Royal Highness, Princess Fleur Isabelle Héloïs Delacour, Dauphine of France. Fleur is twenty nine and the future queen of France. She has spent her whole life being groomed for it and is willing to accept the throne when the time comes. Meaning she is unwilling to abdicate. She wants what is best for France and nothing else will suffice, so she's very set in her ways and quite confidant though. But she can be overambitious and insecure (given that she feels like some males are only interested in her because she is quarter-Veela)

Fleur has one younger sister, Gabrielle. And alas, Fleur is widowed. Her late husband was a Norwegian Marquis who died while France was helping Norway out in a battle against the Goblins (so Fleur has reservations about the goblins at Gringotts) fourteen months ago and she has only just re-entered society to figure out whom France could ally with and if there is a potential second husband for her. She also has an adorable twenty-month old daughter with her late spouse, Chloé Thérèse Mélisandre Gisèle, who hasn't grown into her name yet, but she wants to expose her daughter to other foreign kingdoms as well as to find a suitable father figure for her as well.

But for now, she is in Scotland for the King's wake tomorrow and then she will probably visit England and Ireland to see whom she should ally with given this whole situation. Or if she should wait. But I am looking forward to playing her! So, if you want to plot, hit that little button below!

All Hail the Queen Mum [30 Dec 2013|08:42pm]

Hey all! Jaime here with my second character, Her Majesty, the Queen Mother of Scotland, Mairi Macmillan.

Dowager Queen Mairi is a very sweet woman, elegant and graceful and always the picture perfect queen with a notion of duty and majesty, a woman who would have loved to have a castle full of children had fate not decided she would only have the one. She is firm but kind with the servants of the castle and manages palace affairs well. She is motherly yet strict with her ladies-in-waiting, seeing herself as a substitute mother who is preparing them for their eventual lives as wives and mothers. She is also supremely diplomatic, an excellent gardener, and an adoring grandmother.

And as of Saturday, is in deep mourning for her husband.

To the outer world, she will be dignified in her mourning, but behind closed doors, her tears will be real and copious. And when her mourning is less pronounced, she will be very adamant about finding out who killed King Padraig, and will demand answers. Once she has those answers, God help the one who killed him.

Am open to any and all plottage!!! Included in this is her history of miscarriages before she finally had Ernest - could it have been a result of potions, sabotage against the Scottish throne? Also, send your ladies-in-waiting her way - but behave ;)
