everyone MUST read! [01 May 2010|07:32pm]
Aloha cherubs! Mighty nice day in New England today, so make sure we make note of that in our threads! (it was like 85. whoot)

Got a few things in tonight's mod announcement, which I probably should have addressed earlier on in the game. It's better late than never, right? Plus, with all this influx of activity, I think now is the perfect time. We've got tons of characters and lots of plot going on. I just want to remind everyone of a few unspoken rules (unspoken because I don't feel like posting them in the actual rules at the mo').

First and foremost, I want to remind everyone that the journals ARE monitored. This means that Emma (and whoever else wants to watch them) knows all your characters deep dark secrets. While she would never publicly use any private thoughts against someone, she WILL report unlawful activity if it endangers other people. This basically means that anything your character does, much like real life, has the potential to face consequences. Just because this is a game, does not mean that anyone is safe from being arrested! Just ask Alec Fox. MWAHAHA.

Second, because this game has such the potential to be dark (and I love me some dramaz), I want to start cracking down a bit on the ratings and giving heads up into what's going on in threads. I'm not saying that you need to write the entire subject in the What: section, but if there's sensitive material in there (i.e strong drug use, intense language, sex, violence, etc) then please put so in the Rating: section. I know that sometimes we don't always know the direction our threads are going to head, but it would be lovely if, when the thread starts to turn in a certain direction, to edit the ratings. Sometimes I don't want to open a thread at work and read all about sex. Or, if I'm in a particularly bad mood, I don't want to read about violence. I'm not saying it can't happen, because like I said, stuff like that (with appropriate mod approval for the bigger, more intense stuff) is welcome. I just want everyone to respect each other and make sure that warnings are given when it's necessary. XD

This is a fabulous game and I'm really happy with everyone's enthusiasm. I think that everyone appears to be having fun, so I hope that we all are. You guys are awesome, your writing is awesome and your plots are awesome. Let's keep up the good work, ya'll!

Hey, everyone! I'm Keeks and I'm bringing in my first character, Lucy Chapman.

Lucy's power is mediumship (feel free to make "she sees dead people" jokes) but she doesn't know about them yet.

Her parents own the local movie theater, and in return for paying her tuition, she works there part time. Of course, the real reason is because they want to keep an eye on her as her powers develop. She's very chipper and upbeat, and she tries her hardest to get along with everyone.

Anyway, my aim is keeleyknn, and I'm really looking forward to playing with you guys, so throw some plot my way.
