There were certain memories that were most prominent in Jacen's mind. Of course, he remembered everything to the point of getting splitting headaches sometimes, but there were somethings that just really stood out to him. For example, he distinctly remembers the exact moment he first laid eyes on Alexandria Tibbits. He was in 8th grade taking a tour of the high school when she came out of nowhere, her stunning blonde hair billowing in the wind like a cape behind her. She was like a goddess, unlike anything Jacen had ever seen before, and he remembered everything he saw. Her golden beauty radiated as brightly as if the sun itself had come down to earth to make a special appearance. He was mesmerized, caught up in her majestic aura. How could he love anyone other than her? And as she drew closer and closer to him, he knew she would be the only one for him.
Of course, she had only come over to see her sister, Annie. To her, Jacen was barely even a speck on her radar. She was like this bright, glowing celestial object, and he was a dull and dead moon. There was no way she would ever even realize he was alive. But he was still determined to win her affections. Not a day went by where he didn't concoct some plan to "accidentally" bump into her out in the street. It got to the point where he was sure she knew who he was... whether or not she actually cared, well, that was a different story. That was why when Jacen received a text from none other than the fiery, golden beauty of his waking dreams, he about nearly fell off his chair. She had wanted to meet him somewhere for a change. That had to be a good sign right?
Having absolutely no idea what to wear, Jacen threw on some of his nicest jeans and a clean t-shirt (color red) and headed off to the coffee shop half an hour early. He could predict the amount of time it would take him to get there, but he couldn't predict if anything would happen along the way. So, he gave himself enough time just in case and arrived about fifteen minutes before the time at which they had agreed to meet. Good. Just about enough time to buy a bottle of water. He knew if he started on the coffee this early, he'd surely mess things up. Coffee and ADHD didn't mix well at all.
