"You impress me so incredibly, Oliver."
Oliver Dale had a tight grip on his kite. He had asked and begged for weeks to be let out to go to the park. With finals and school work though, it had been difficult to secure a decent outing. However, Will was true to his word. School was out. No more finals or textbooks to read or homework to do. They were free for the summer, and who was he to deny his son a good outing in the park?
James was quiet as he sat by Will and just watched Oliver fly his kite all about. Will leaned in toward his youngest and whispered, "You know how he's doing it, right?" James just shook his head. "He's manipulating the wind currents. Just like how they taught him in school. Why do you think he was so anxious to get out here to do this?" James grinned and lifted Will's camera phone to take a picture of the kite flapping away in the window.
After he'd taken the picture, he turned his head casually toward Will and whispered. "Somebody's watching us."
Will continued to look at Oliver's kite as he said, "You noticed it too, huh?" And then he turned, and he smiled at the audience that was watching his son fly a kite.
