She was worried about Bobby. And there weren’t that many people that she knew that didn’t also know Bobby and while she liked and adored many of them luck sort of dictated that somewhere down the line Bobby would find out that she was worried about her. And right now she didn’t want that because it could potentially start a fight seeing as Jenna was worried that maybe Bobby was working her way into some sort of breakdown and her ex had just come back from a psych ward and she didn’t seem to mind. It was hypocritical and it felt weird to Jenna but then this was a new place to be in, one she’d never been placed in before. So who better to talk to about Bobby than the one person least likely to actually talk to Bobby? Of course this all hinged on the fact that somewhere between Bobby talking to Jenna and today Bobby and Chris hadn’t somehow magically become best friends. But she highly doubted such a miracle had occurred and she wasn’t aware of it.
But she’d texted Chris and asked him to hang out, which she fully intended on doing. Once she figured out what exactly they could do. Board games felt awkward and a movie seemed sort of like a bad idea, since she was pretty sure the last time they’d attempted watching a movie together had ended in neither of them even knowing who the main characters were let alone the plot. And sadly she didn’t have any sort of game system at her disposal not that it would matter since her experience with video games was fairly limited. Oh yes wonderful planning on her part. Biting her lip Jenna pulled out a couple DVDs that might interest the both of them and made a quick dash for a shower and changed into an old pair of jeans and a white fluffy sweater. All the while dodging the knowing and smug looks her mother kept shooting her way.
Just because her ex was coming over did not mean that they were suddenly getting back together. And changing clothes did not mean anything. She just wanted to look less frumpy than she had thirty minutes ago. And now she had to wait for him to arrive because she had gotten through her shower in record time. So she fiddled with her phone while she waited, because it was that or channel surfing and the remote was way too far away right then.
