Jenna had thought things were going well. She'd gotten so used to only having the memory of kissing him that she'd forgotten just how good it was to kiss him. It was nice and maybe a little unbelievable.
Her other hand lying lightly at his neck, fingers in his hair. This was real, he was solid and right there. And then he wasn't and she was confused taking a breath to buy herself time to find words that weren't being easily forthcoming. She blinked, "What? Why?" She thought that this was good. They were kissing and they hadn't fought and things had felt like they had before. She was so disconcerted by how he was suddenly so far away, this was not how she expected things to continue when he'd kissed her.
