All that could be heard was the click of an impatient heel as Gabby stood on the front porch of her less than glamorous apartment. She hated half of the people in the building but she dealt with it because it was relatively close to where she worked and she didn't need a car that way. But at any rate, she didn't look like she belonged there - she looked like something straight out of a Manhattan bar. There was no denying how hot she looked and Gabby knew that she looked good. Before she could see any car pulling up, she fixed her dress quickly and shook out any creases. Seth may be a hot mess occasionally but she had no intention of being any kind of mess.
As she thought about how he was on his way and how she was ridiculously fixing her dress to look good for him, Gabby scoffed a little. She had no idea why she was making an effort this guy. She wasn't the one that made efforts; she made the men work for it. But there was something different about this guy. Even though Gabby wanted to have him work for it, she also found that he was having her work for it which was a change. It was weird and new but she liked a challenge. So when she looked down at her phone and saw that it was five minutes to seven, Gabby couldn't help but smirk. She didn't think he would show on time as most guys tended to be late.
But then two minutes she saw a car coming up her road and she rolled her eyes and heaved a big sigh out. But a second later, she was also grinning. Gabby was torn between being frustrated that he wouldn't just crack and glad that someone was finally fighting to win her over. She stayed where she was on the porch, with her arms folded over her chest and her weight shifted onto one leg until he at least got out of the car though.
