Nathan loved the family guest house. He would often visit there to get away from his parents and his brother. It was a two-story 6 bedroom, 3 bath with a large kitchen that was within walking distance from one of the beaches that Frye Island had to offer. His favorite thing about the place was that it had a large deck upstairs that you could look out from and see the water even at night. It was just so relaxing there, and he couldn't think of any place better to hold a party. The place had only been somewhat decorated for the occasion, mostly the exterior so people could find it easily, but not much. The great thing was that if anything had been broken during the event it was easily replaceable. Some of Johnny's larger equipment was still setup in the house so the evening's DJ didn't have to lug it back and forth. The drink station was ready and prepared to be attacked by thirsty teens; the pizza place was also on standby in case they ran out of food and needed more. Nathan Howard wasn't sure how tonight would end but he knew it would be worth it.

As the doorbell rang and the first guests began to arrive, Nathan flung the large double doors open. Seeing more than he would've expected at first, he grinned widely. "My friends, welcome to my home and to the rest of our lives!"

"Earn it?" Sam quirked an eyebrow, mulling that over.

He did indeed feel like he was receiving a birthday present. Or a birthday cake with a candle that he was supposed to be blowing out. He took the shot glass from her gingerly and grinned as he brought it to his lips, tossing it back on three. It burned a little as it went down, but the flavor was pleasant enough. "Whew, that wasn't so bad. I could almost do another."

"Obviously." She grinned.

"Ask and ye shall receive!" Before he had the opportunity to refuse, Mia was pouring him another (rather full) shot and handing the glass back over. "Like a champ!" Mia was not so great at shots. She usually forced herself to take one to get things started, but after that it usually involved a lot of grimacing and coughing. She was impressed with Sam's manly shot-taking skills!

There was obviously a danger in trying to pretend he was impressive. Oh well, no turning back now. Sam gave her a broad grin and took the extra full shot from Mia. He tossed this one back as well, without a countdown this time. This one went down a little less smooth, since he was still sort of recovering from the first. He winced a little, but then smiled at her, handing back the shot glass. "No problem."

	Mia returned his grin. "Oh my God, you are a true man!" she exclaimed, unable to restrain another burst of laughter. "I don't think I can watch you drink another one! You can share a rum and coke with me if you want." Her vodka cranberry was long forgotten. "Ohhh, we should make one to play a drinking game with! Like never have I ever!" Mia rarely lost. 	Sam laughed. He was feeling pretty good. But he was thankful that he hadn't talked himself into doing another shot. At least not by itself. A rum and coke sounded good. "Yeah, alright. 	"Okay then!" With her drink securely in one hand, the other reached down to grab his. She led him away from the booze and to a section of the house that seemed less crowded and settled herself in the corner of one of the couches, giving his hand a small tug to encourage him to do the same. "Oh, so original!" she answered with a huff. "Hey, who says I've kissed a guy before? Maybe I'm pure and chaste." She couldn't exactly keep a straight face on that one, though, so she took a drink of the rum and coke and dropped a finger down. "Alright, so... never have I ever... uh." Shit. She wasn't sure if it was the booze making it hard to think or if she was just genuinely this pathetic when it came to things she hadn't done. "Cheated on someone I've dated," she finally decided. It was true, and it would give her some insight into Sam's character.

"I know. I'm just creative like that." He teased with a small shrug. "Are you sure?" He was pretty sure she had. He hadn't seen her kiss someone with his own eyes necessarily, but he did know she'd dated a few guys he knew. Besides. She was too cute to never have been kissed.

Sam shook his head, "Nope. Neither have I." He hadn't dated all that many girls, but he'd also never cheated on them. "Does that mean it's still your turn?"

"Well that's not fair." Sam whined with a mock pout, but he complied anyway and set about trying to come up with something else. There were a lot of things he had never done that he didn't want to admit to not doing.

He tapped his chin in a dramatic thinking pose as he decided what he was going to admit to. "Never have I ever..." This really was harder than he thought. "Hmmm... Never have I ever smoked pot."

"Pft. Whatever. It's totally fair! That's how it works!" She wondered what he was going to come up with, and she grimaced when he finally did bring something up. "Aw, man." She took a drink and dropped a finger. "I mean, I've only done it once. With Tino, obviously. I was curious, I guess?" She shrugged. "It was weird." Now she had to think of something else she hadn't done. There was a pause as she thought. "Never have I ever had sex in a car!"

	Now it was Sam's turn to grimace. He sighed and frowned slightly. Even in his inebriated state, he still felt like he was about to commit social suicide of epic proportions. "Never have I ever... Oh, wow. Mia's eyes widened and her lips parted slightly in an alcohol-induced tactless move. Sam was a virgin?! It seemed impossible, but she could tell by the look on his face that he was being serious. Before she said anything, Mia took a drink and dropped a finger. That was probably for the best as it kept her from blurting out something stupid. "Okay, to clarify." She was smiling again now that the shock had worn off a bit. "I'm surprised, but there's nothing, like, wrong with that."

Sam sighed again and ruffled his hair. "Yeah I guess. I dunno. Just feels pretty fucking lame." It wasn't something he'd planned on sharing, but he supposed it would've come out eventually, so he was glad it wasn't around someone who was terribly gossipy. But then again, anyone could be Songbird? He shrugged, "I've never really dated anyone that long, and I dunno... Just never happened."

He gave her a shrug in response to her comment. It wasn't girls he was worried about. Call him a coward, but no one liked to get picked on.

"I dunno. Little things. Not making a move, or I dunno. I always date safe girls. I think that I do it on purpose. On accident, but on purpose, if that makes sense." Now he felt like he needed another drink. To hell with the game.
