WHO: Nathan and Seniors + friends (everyone basically)
WHAT: Pre-Graduation party
WHERE: Howard guest house
WHEN: Saturday, May 13th; starting at 8 PM (forward dated)
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In progress

Nathan loved the family guest house. He would often visit there to get away from his parents and his brother. It was a two-story 6 bedroom, 3 bath with a large kitchen that was within walking distance from one of the beaches that Frye Island had to offer. His favorite thing about the place was that it had a large deck upstairs that you could look out from and see the water even at night. It was just so relaxing there, and he couldn't think of any place better to hold a party. The place had only been somewhat decorated for the occasion, mostly the exterior so people could find it easily, but not much. The great thing was that if anything had been broken during the event it was easily replaceable. Some of Johnny's larger equipment was still setup in the house so the evening's DJ didn't have to lug it back and forth. The drink station was ready and prepared to be attacked by thirsty teens; the pizza place was also on standby in case they ran out of food and needed more. Nathan Howard wasn't sure how tonight would end but he knew it would be worth it.

As the doorbell rang and the first guests began to arrive, Nathan flung the large double doors open. Seeing more than he would've expected at first, he grinned widely. "My friends, welcome to my home and to the rest of our lives!"

Savannah half-turned, then smiled to see her older brother. Her eyebrows rose skeptically at his compliment, and she laughed. "Not that nice," she disagreed self-consciously, though it was nice to hear. She was sure Nathan would notice - hoped so, anyway.

"Aren't you a little old to be crashing a high school party?" she teased. She didn't mind seeing him here, but she was surprised by his presence. "You aren't working, are you?"

[BTW feel free to have Patrick come in and bust him later if you wish]

Nathan stood by the doors to greet his guests, flashing his trademark smile, as they started to fill into the empty house. He gave directions towards the various bathrooms in the house as well as the kitchen where the essentials of the evening were provided. He wasn't exactly shocked at the turn out but he was impressed at how many had come so far, and the night was yet to begin.

Most simply had nodded, said hello, and gave a smile before as they passed him but one voice caught his attention as she actually used his name. "Hi," he said in return, grinning widely. He was about to say more before another guy came up behind Savannah and tugged on shirt. His first thought was to get protective but then he recognized him in her family photos as her brother. "I was thinking the same thing..." he agreed as he glanced her over a second before looking back to her brother, "Sebastian?" Nathan extended his hand, "I don't think we've officially met but Savannah has told me a few things about you. All good, of course."

He laughed a little bit as she teased her brother, "Nonsense. Everyone is welcome tonight. You're welcome to join us if you want to stay."

"You do look nice... And I'm with the DJ's assistant. I can't help it was left open invitation." True, he was probably going to be the oldest person there tonight, but it could prove rather interesting material for later. He tried to avoid her other question though about whether or not he was working and hoped it would just go that he was being an assistant to the assistant. Or something that didn't just blow his cover. He wasn't planning on writing anything, but it was always good to have your eyes open.

"Bast," he corrected before reaching out to shake Nathan's hand. "At least for the people I like. I'll tell you if you should change that to "Sullivan"." He looked over Nathan well though and perhaps squeezing a little harder than he should. Thankfully there didn't seem to be any great revelation happening. One less extremely-obvious power that he knew in an instant on this island at least. "And I've heard plenty about you." Good, bad and otherwise like any good reporter.

[Hm, potential for a brush with clairvoyance...]

Savannah rolled her eyes good-naturedly, more amused by her brother's comments than threatened or embarrassed by them. After all, it was Bast being Bast -- and, even though she had seen a variety of emotions from him, she always imagined this side of him to be like an angry kitten protecting its ball of yarn.

Letting the question of his purpose being there go for the time being, she said instead, as seriously as she could muster, "Now, Bast, you're old enough to make mature choices regarding alcohol. But if you need a ride home, I want you to know you can always call me."

When Bast mentioned being with the DJ's assistant, he realized that Johnny must've invited friends. It was perfectly acceptable but he didn't realize it would lead to Savannah's brother getting involved. It really was a small island, not that he could ever forget it. Nathan could handle himself so there shouldn't have been any problems on his end. "Are you now? I might as well have invited you myself then. As I said, you're welcome to stay for as long as you like. My house is your house." He only hoped his invitation wouldn't be blowing up in his face.

"I'm happy to know on your good side," he grinned. "Call me Nathan, or Nate if you like." As they squeezed each others' hands, he added an equal amount of pressure that Bast was giving him. "I'm sure it's all deserved but hopefully nothing too personal. I'd like to think I can still have some secrets."

He wasn't sure what to make about the fact that Savannah didn't say anything about Penny, but then there was someone else right there. Though it was rather good he hadn't grabbed onto any telepathy at that moment or there likely would have been some frustration over still not pulling off "scary older brother". Maybe he just wasn't meant to be big, mean, and evil.

"Well you about did invite me. She was just the extra reason to come." Which he should probably go finding her here before too long since Johnny had probably been there earlier than most of the crowd. "Nothing I would go running off to tell Songbird then, Nathan. She probably wouldn't be too interested. And I have no intentions of drinking, Savvy, so you are not driving my car." He put an arm around her though once his hand was free. "Have a good time though. Just not too much fun."

"Who, me?" she asked with a knowing grin. Savannah had been known to party hard with the right crowd, and no one knew that better than Bast. That had been her junior year -- been there, done that. She didn't plan on drinking too much, but Bast was there just in case...and Bobby as well, if she made it. "Don't worry, big brother. I'm in good hands. And I'll only have a little fun."
