WHO: Amelia and Gio
WHAT: Gio figures out the punch is spiked and goes around to warn his friends – Amelia being the first.
WHEN: Monday, February 14; into the night, but not too far (forward dated)
WHERE: Valentine's Day dance
RATING: PG-13 for alcohol?? idk
It hit him all at once. Gio hadn't had too much punch, but after standing up to get more he'd almost lost his balance. Being a lightweight, he was pretty sure he knew what had happened and looked dubiously into the bottom of his empty plastic cup. Glory and Axel were being entertained by others (at least, he assumed as much – he couldn't see them through the crowd at the moment), so he thought it would be a good time to make the rounds.
When he went to the nearest trashcan to toss his cup, he spotted a certain false redhead by the refreshment table and decided that Amelia was as good a person to start with as any. He'd also told her he would be willing to dance with her, so maybe he could kill two birds with one stone. Not that he really thought about it like that. Honestly, as soon as he'd seen her earlier that night he'd wanted to dance with her. She looked, well, really good.
Amelia would feel something poking her in the back as Gio approached, and yes, they were his fingers pressed up against the ribbon around her corset. "Saint Valentine's Day police. Put down the punch. I repeat: put down the punch, it's spiked."
