It would be kind of neat to live on a different planet that they could breathe on. Nothing there would bother them. There would be no such thing as drama. And everything would be as normal as normal could be created. Though, Amelia might make a lot of things non-normal, but did anyone have a problem with that? She was doing her best to make Gio feel comfortable and laugh, because he needed it more than she did right now. The alcohol in her system was making her moves a little too extravagant but it wasn’t grabbing too much attention as far as she could see, anyways.
She would have shown her excitement for Gio winning Prince if she stayed long enough, but she wouldn’t have been overly excited about it. She knew deep down that he would have felt embarrassed and made the evening even more awkward than it was, so she knew babbling on about it would be the worst thing ever. If she would have won… no one would have seen her leaving. She might break the record for running the fastest in heels. She sympathy with him.
The alcohol was really helping with keeping her on her feet. Amelia would be down for the count after two or three songs. But they kept going and going as if the energizer bunny was behind their backs, encouraging them to keep going – until a slow song stopped them in their tracks.
Hearing Gio speak of his dates caused her to look about the dancing couples, searching for her own. And with no luck, Amelia looked back to him with a slight nervous smile, starting to think of something but then throwing it off to the side, before making the situation worse in her head, she just went with impulse. “Oh, the hell with it,” she quickly said. Coming in fast toward Gio with her arms circling his shoulders loosely and moving in close, but not too close to cause the sexual no-no police to come over to them and pull them apart. If he pulled away from her at this point, she wouldn’t feel upset or angry over it. It was a little odd of her to slow dance with her best friend, but was there anything really wrong with it? She didn’t see anything, right now.
