Who: Elaine and Eden
What: Mother-Daughter Bonding
Where: Local Spa and Shops
When: Back-dated to Saturday afternoon
There was little Elaine liked more than ensuring that her youngest daughters were fully aware of how imperfect they were. Of course, she didn't put it quite like that, not even to herself. Over the years, she had thought of numerous excuses to spoil Eden, ranging from the practical (Eden deserves to have a car so she can drive herself) to the ridiculous (Eden is older, so she needs more clothes.)
Since Eden had become an independent adult, Elaine's excuses were usually singular: her daughter was a grown woman, and it was becoming increasingly more difficult to spend time with her...and she, perhaps, needed a little more financial assistance than the two children still living at home, whose meals and the roof over their heads were already paid for.
Having made up her mind to catch up with her oldest daughter, Elaine found herself looking forward to the day, which promised to be both relaxing and informative. To that end, they were pulling into the shopping district with Elaine behind the wheel. "Where do you want to start?"
