Who: Cait and Lexie
What: psych evaluation
When: directly after this
Where: hospital, Lexie's room, to be exact
Rated: Cait has to maintain a professional demeanor, so low
Cait stood outside Lexie's door and frowned. She was mentally preparing herself for what was likely to be one of the more dreadful moments of her life. Of course, anyone with perspective would know that listening to someone you disliked talk was not the end of the world. To Cait, it was not only semi-apocalyptic, it was also extremely annoying. Why did she have to intern for Doctor Evans? Why? Why did he suddenly have to decide that doing psych evaluations for patients who were clearly not mentally unstable was below him? Cait knew as an intern that she'd have to do lousy things, but this just took the cake.
Sighing, she pushed open the door. If it was possible, seeing Lexie laying in that bed put her in a worse mood than she'd been seeing Eisen. "Hello, Ms. Tibbits," she said, opening the folder and sitting in one of the chairs next to the bed. "How are you feeling?" It seemed foolish to act professional around someone she went to high school with. It was especially foolish to act this way around someone she positively loathed. But she had to. It was her job. She couldn't risk Lexie going to Evans with the complaint that Cait hadn't treated her like a patient.
"I need to ask you some questions. Is that okay?" She pulled out a pen and started scribbling something about Lexie's physical condition down onto the sheet in front of her.
