Saturday evening was never a dull time at work for Brendan, however, the night was still young and customers had really yet to pour in. He kept himself busy by making sure his area of Pearson's Pub was thoroughly cleaned and that his refrigerator freezer was stocked, ready to go at a moments notice. If he got too bored, he kept a copy of Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte stashed behind the counter to keep himself entertained for a little while until he had a proper flow of orders coming in. He had read it half a dozen times but what else was he going to do? Cooking the appetizers at the Pub wasn't the most complex thing either; he simply had to throw something on the grill or drop a few things in the fryer. Real rocket science. Brendan still liked to add his own twist to things to spice it up a little. He couldn't be a master chef here but it was a simple start.
With his headphones plugged into his ears, listening to music that was more his speed, and his eyes closed momentarily, he sat there on the backside behind the counter waiting for potential customers to start showing up.
