RP: Fashion Under The Stars
Who: Open to everyone (please add your tags)
What: It's a fashion show
Where: Parkinson Estate
When: 12 August, 2000
The garden was illuminated by torches. Some lined the way from the house to where the show was. Others encircled the area reserved for the drinks and food and where eventually guests would mingle after the show. Near the catwalk, there were less torches, enough for people to see while walking, but not enough to interfere with the show.
The night started with Sport Delights. Pansy still didn't like it, but she understood that it made business sense. The line contained the sort of clothes those athletic types liked, like sports bras with magicked fabric that would give them more control and leggings for running. All the materials were made by witches with magic making them different - and better - than their muggle counterparts. There were also bathing suits. Pansy could never find decent bathing suits, always wearing things seemed to cover too much. The bathing suit line was fun and young, but with enough one piece option to attract the older generations. The first part of the night was closed by Meaghan dressed head to toe in Sport Delights pieces.
The second part was the new Nocturne Delights line. It didn't have as many items and it hadn't been easy to find women to model the lingerie, but all of it was classy and sexy, with lace and corsets. Just the type of things that Pansy loved.
The final line was the highlight of the night. The Moonlight Delights line had taken months to create. The spells that Luna had created for her own clothes didn't always last for months or years. Some needed to be toned down for the less eccentric women. As promised the final piece was the butterfly cloak. Pansy had debated who do have model it and then she decided to do it herself. She wore one of the simpler robes from the line. It was a shimmering silky fabric that looked black until the light hit it and then came alive with different tonalities of greys and blues and even pale pinks. On top, she wore the cloak. They had picked another black one, but as she reached the end of the catwalk, the butterflies fluttered their wings with an explosion of colors that caused many 'oohs' and ahhs'. Pansy called Luna on the catwalk and presented the designer to the public, before inviting all of the guests to stay for food and drinks.
