How Logan came across the Watchers’ Diaries available in Unseen Insight was unimportant; all that mattered to the Watcher was that he found them. And now, with the store closed and these volumes his only company, Logan sat and jotted notes feverishly, when his eyes weren’t glued to the text.
So Cory and Samantha weren’t the first Slayer and child affected by the Cult of Zeus. Somehow, Logan suspected as much, since the cult had ties as far back as the ancient Greeks.
And, if the first tome was any indications, his professional ancestors were just as lost as Logan.

Okay, so it stood to reason Cory wouldn’t be in any immediate danger if the Cult of Zeus were to find him. If the cult viewed the boy as a savior of some sort, and its job was to ensure the boy grew up to fulfill the prophecy, then breaking a vein and drinking away probably wasn’t the order of the night.
And with the mother off who knew where … Logan wasn’t sure what to make of that angle. Samantha was already up on murder charges after Gerald Watkins was found in the trunk of her car, full of bullets, and her inexplicably sudden escape from prison didn’t help her cause any.
Chances were the Cult wouldn’t be too happy about it, either.
Glancing at the third and final volume before him, Logan’s brow furrowed and he removed his glasses, his eyes spotting a familiar name.

Well, now …
So Samantha knew about this cult the entire time – at least, she did according to her last Watcher’s accounts. Logan wondered for a moment who Russell’s contact could’ve been, and if he’d be able to speak to him. The Watcher made a quick note, deciding he would try to get in touch with Russell the next day.
If there was one thing Logan was good at, it was tracking down a potential lead.
