Words were like wisps of smoke, raising in Fleur's head until they vanished without a trace; you knew they where there but vanished after a quick evanescent second. Their meanings resonating loudly in her head but yet, her brain did not want to process them. How was it possible that she had woken up in this strange village that was inhabited by people from various times both past and present? A place where she not only had two children (who were eight and twenty-two) but a husband from some unknown future. It was as much a curiosity as it was a conundrum.
Delicate fingers traced the length of the scintillating silver bracelet until a few moments sago had rested upon her wrist. Fleur wondered if it had been a birthday or a Christmas present, or perhaps even a thinking about you present from her future husband. Maybe she shouldn't be wearing the jewelry of this other her but she didn't think that her would care. It wasn't like she was someone else, just a different version of herself in a sense. The hope had been it would give her an idea of this person everyone expected her to be.
"Hey," Fleur greeted softly as she clumsily stuffed the bracelet into one of her pockets as she realized someone was walking towards her. That someone was a red-haired man who's soft, kind eyes were almost lost amiss the scars that adorned his face. Yet, despite the scars, he was attractive. Cool even.
Despite her younger age, Fleur looked exactly as Bill would expect her to look; blonde, beautiful, with a healthy dose of Veela charms and an easy smile that few could resist. The only difference was that she was clearly not six months pregnant with Bill's child.
