Bellatrix couldn't help but be pleased. Evan had been on her mind a great deal lately. His living with Narcissa bothered her more then she liked to admit. Draco was an annoying little twit and part of her wondered if his lack of tact with her was part of a failing on her sister's part. He was probably over indulged, she mused. The last thing she wanted was for Evan to become some self righteous blood traitor. And it was her duty, and she was fond of her cousin. It made perfectly good sense in her mind.
She had cleared out her room, packing away most of her things and storing them in a closet. She could get whatever she needed when the need arose and she didn't much mind sleeping on the couch anyway. Sleep never came easily and she kept late hours. It was better for the boy to have his own room and privacy. She didn't exactly fill her room with personal mementos and trinkets, so it wasn't any sort of hassle for her to clear it out.
No time was wasted. There wasn't time to hesitate. As soon as she had the house cleared away she went to fetch him from his current home. She smiled easily the whole time while she helped him carry over his possessions. She never let on that she had some small concerns. Firstly, how others would react. She could take anything from the people in this place, but she would not tolerate anyone harassing or undermining Evan's choice to stay with her for the time being.
After bringing him to his room she gave him leave to settle in. "I'll be in the living room, sitting by the fireplace if you want to talk. Or if you have some homework you need help with," she told him before giving him some time to adjust.
True to what she said she walked out into the main living area and took a seat. She was tempted to check in on him and see what he was up to but she would not invade his privacy. That always annoyed her to no end when she was a child. Solitude sometimes helped, especially with sudden change. Especially for children like Evan she knew, because as a child she was much the same. Little to no emotion was always preferred.
