Aberforth wasn't sure what he was doing. He didn't like that. Far from being assured of his actions, he felt clumsy, out of touch and out of place as he walked over to Arabella's house with Eyre jumping along beside him. Still a kid, the young goat made great sport of turning most anything into a game -- even something as simple as walking from point A to point B. She poked and prodded at most anything she could, headbutting Aberforth's hand and thigh whenever the opportunity presented itself. She was curious which was only natural and Aberforth delighted in watching her explore the world. It was refreshing to see for someone as jaded as he was. People often thought him odd for preferring the company of animals over people, but there were good reasons for it. This was one of them. This and they fact that they did not judge. He did not have to worry. He was safer and freer and if that was strange or odd, then so be it. It was a similar feeling when he was around Arabella, though those feelings were tied to others that made little sense. For while he appreciated her lack of magic, he similarly felt nervous around her in a way he could not explain. In a way that made him unsure of what he was doing and he didn't like that, but he still came regardless.
Having donned his best trousers, button up, suspenders, and overcoat, Aberforth adjusted them as he approached her door. Eyre had taken to nibbling at the sleeve on their way over so it was a bit wet, but it was too late to deal with it now. Running a hand through his dark, curly locks, he cleared his throat and knocked carefully on her front door before standing back to wait as Eyre began nibbling on her front lawn. At which point Aberforth took notice and turned away to attempt to get her to stop. He had hoped to look respectable when she opened the door, be he was much too busy now, crouched down before Eyre as the goat bounced around before him.
