"Oh yeah, rebel rebel." Dorcas snorted in agreement, smile going slightly crooked as she peered up at him. "I keep you civil by not letting you drink straight from the bottle. That's only for soda pop and juices, because who has time for that?" she teased, reveling in the warmth that seemed to have settled beneath her skin. It felt like an adrenaline rush, heart beat ticking up as he leaned in closer with that wicked look in his eyes. She had to bite her lower lip to keep her lips from pulling up too much, holding his gaze as her thumb unwittingly stroked along the outside of his index finger. It was almost a relief to break his hold in order to get more comfortable, almost, but Dorcas' breath still hitched and her smile still grew as he continued to speak.
"Mm, that and I don't want you stepping on my toes with your big clomping shoes." she teased in agreement, her expression growing brighter at the sound of his laughter. Sirius had an infectious sort of laugh, the warm, wonderful kind that made you feel better just for having been privileged enough to hear it. The fact that she had managed to draw it from him with so simple a gesture had her all but beaming, raising a brow as she continued to nurse the drink before it was plucked from her hands. "Show off." she murmured affectionately, eyes bright and smile warm as he rid himself of his own glass and turned to getting comfortable himself. Dorcas similarly held her tongue and her hands as he removed his outer layers, half wanting to reach for the bottle for something to do with her hands.
Luckily Sirius saved her the trouble, busying her idle hands with both of his before she could truly contemplate anything more. Her smile returned in full bloom, fingers automatically lacing through his as he drew her in. Despite the weight of whatever Sirius had learned that day hanging overhead, Dorcas felt light for the first time in as many months as he took her through a few steps. She felt warm and happy, languidly turning into the spin before falling back to his chest once more. The soft laugh that greeted him was paired with a wide smile and her warm gaze fixed entirely on him. The hand not currently occupied with his own moved seemingly of its own accord to push some of his hair from his face before falling to rest on his shoulder once more, pushing herself closer to lead him through a step this time. She knew she was off beat and out of time with the music, but she didn't care. It was nice, this. She felt warm and happy and whole -- alive with the way her heart beat so soundly within her chest and how hyperaware she was of his body close to hers, the slide of his palm, the warmth of his skin, the press of his chest. It felt so good to feel alive and she wasn't going to waste her time worrying about keeping to the rhythm as she turned in his arms. "What about a dip then?" she asked over the music, stepping on his feet occasionally and not bothering to apologize or even try to correct her footing. "If you're so impressive, let's see that." she taunted, pulling her lower lip between her teeth as she raised her brow in challenge.
