Dinner party - Arthur & Molly
WHO: Arthur Weasley and open until filled Molly Prewett
WHAT: Mingling at the dinner party.
WHERE: Malfoy gardens
WHEN: Saturday evening
RATING: PG
Even though he arrived a few months ago, the village’s novelty didn’t wear off for Arthur. He loved thinking about how things worked and while everyone knew he adored muggle trinkets, it shouldn’t have been a secret he was also impressed by intricate magic. He couldn’t help thinking about how his twin boys were the ones who kept the place going after the villagers ended Skeeter’s tyranny. He really hoped Fred and George would show up again. He held vague memories from the time he aged to an old man, but it wasn’t the same now that he was twenty again. He wanted to meet Percy too. Everyone. He wanted to meet (or re-meet) everyone. He knew it was probably selfish considering how many family members he already had, but where else could he have so many from so many different times in one place? Exactly. For that reason, he was glad for the invitation to Draco and Astoria’s party. He had no lost love for Lucius Malfoy, but he wasn’t going to hold that against his future family. He trusted all that worked itself out in the future so he wasn’t going to be a git toward those who didn’t deserve it. Cressida had been the first one to welcome him when he showed up at her home unexpectedly. She had been loving and kind. Charlie was lucky. His grandson loved Scorpius like a brother. His granddaughter married Scorpius and had the lovely Polaris, Arthur’s great-granddaughter. Sure, it was a little strange being in the Malfoy home, but it wasn’t like Lucius was around.
“These are brilliant,” he said to no one in particular. He wasn’t sure what to do with the sparkler he held, but watching the colors dance in the moonlight enthralled him. He’d need to show Bill and the other kids. They’d love it!
