Gellert's gaze watched the woman carefully as she moved further into the building, picking up a book. What she said at first did not make sense to him but her second sentence made his hand relax, while his brow furrowed deeply. "So he is gone for good? After a fashion." The emotion he felt at realising the man was gone surprised him, for he hadn't been that close to Rodolphus and the two had never even met in person but, to Gellert, the other man was a refreshing and familiar personality in the sea of cravens that permeated the village.
"A pleasure." He remembered her now, when she first arrived in the village; they had spoken via the journal. "No, I did not. I had some time before work, though, so I had thought to seek him out and talk. We spoke frequently via the journal since I arrived to this abysmal place, but we had never met in person. I hoped to rectify that, but that is obviously not an option now."
