The weekend had been uneventful for Gellert and, with Monday's arrival, he was exceedingly bored. Work was not enough to slate his boredom and he was not looking forward to being in that office building with people that he disliked for several hours; he often thought about whether he should petition the Board for some other occupation, but he would not give them the satisfaction of such an act from him. He would perform this occupation until no other was able to do it, even if that meant he was doomed to reading as many books about it as he could for some months into the future. He recalled a conversation that he had with Rodolphus a week prior as he quickly ate breakfast, realising that he and Rodolphus had still not met in person. There was still some time before he had to be at work so Gellert decided, by shoving the bit of toast he had left into his mouth and pulling on his leather jacket, that he'd walk over to the docks. Leaving the house that he shared with Arthur, Gellert walked across the village and out of its confines down to the docks; the morning walk was not a normal occurance for him so his pace was relaxed, enjoying the cool breeze and the warm rays of the sun. He arrived at the docks in rather good time and looked around for the Death Eater, but saw no sign of him in the immediate area. Not feeling any concern, Gellert went over to the boathouse and carefully walked inside, casting his gaze across the expanse of the building. But there was no sign of him. Gellert's brow furrowed, as he was quite certain that Rodolphus would be here and he was quite keen to speak to the man. He was broken from his brief musing by a sound behind him and he turned around sharply, his hand dropping to rest against the pocket of his trousers that held his wand; he would not draw it unless he was certain of immediate danger, though. He didn't need some craven to have a panic attack. "Have you come looking for Rodolphus, too?" he asked, his piercing blue eyes resting on the person that stood in the doorway of the building. |
