Amos was still finding everything in this so called magical village very hard to believe, but he wanted to trust in the word of his son. At least, the handwriting that belonged to his son which he also wanted to truly believe was real. Though he couldn't lie to himself that he was brimming with excitement at the thought of meeting his older boy. It shouldn't be fair to get a glimpse at your older child, especially when the other parent couldn't do the same, but he figured since he would lose his memories when he went back that made it okay. Plus, he couldn't exactly pass up spending some quality time with a son who was a little closer to his age. The prospect both thrilled him and terrified him. Did Cedric think he had been a good father? Had he tried to make him do too much? Expected too much out of him? Were they still as close as he felt to his son now in 11 years? Had he taught him the right lessons? Was he a good boy? Of course he is a good boy Amos, he nearly screamed at himself. There was no possible way he couldn't be. His son was absolutely perfect to him in every way. There was no doubt in his mind that it held true in the future as well.
Pushing his hands into his pockets and whistling softly on the bridge, he waited until he heard the sounds of approaching footsteps to turn. Bracing himself as he did so, the minute he locked eyes with the other boy he knew it was his son. "Cedric," he whispered to himself. Walking forward at a quickened pace, it wasn't long until he had closed the gap between himself and Ced. Without even thinking about it, Amos pulled him into a tight hug before really saying anything. He held him there for a long moment, amazed at the fact he helped create the good looking man in his arms.
Finally breaking away though, he gave his son a sheepish smile and shrugged a bit. "Sorry, I just owed you that since I didn't get to give little you one before bed tonight. I'm sentimental like that," he joked lightly, still almost out of breath with excitement.
