William's request caught him off guard, but Remus would never turn a student away, especially one who was not allowed at the castle. Remus quickly realized that, of course, Helena's family wouldn't want William near her even for classes. Still, Remus couldn't help wondering what would happen if they continued treating the boy like a hardened criminal. Self-fulfilling prophecy?
He pushed the dark thoughts away as they neared the door. He held it open for William. "I'd be honoured to teach you, William." Maybe "honoured" was a strong word for teaching the Slytherin House Ghost, but Remus was used to dealing with egos and thought it best to make William feel respected. Even Sirius had been a hard nut to crack when it came to that ego. "And the mediator is meant to help ease tensions between arguing parties should they want it." He shrugged. "Not many have taken me up on my post so I put on some events to help the village unite." Not that it helped much.
