Why was she scared? A lot of reasons. She was scared she couldn't clean up her act, scared she wasn't as good of a mother as he had claimed, and what terrified her most of all was the possibility that he would disappear, and she would have to do this on her own. Because honestly? She wasn't sure she was capable. "I know," she responded, knowing he made complete sense but still not letting her anxiety go. "But back home I don't have to worry about some magical unstable village that can take you away from me any time it wants!" she blurted out.
Taking his hand and holding it tightly, she looked into his eyes through her own tear filled ones. "I just love you so much..." she started with a shake of her head. Merlin, she was ridiculous. Couldn't even have an adult conversion without breaking down into tears. But there was one important stipulation of him knowing. "Can we keep this between us?" She questioned. Of course she knew he'd want to blare it to everyone out of excitement, but she knew the first few months were never certain. It would just be easier this way.
