The thing most people didn't get until they saw it was how much Parvati needed Padma to be able to feel like herself. Then again, most of the time other twins knew it. She'd felt this way before when she and Padma were sorted into separate houses. Even then, Padma has been there. Been close enough that she could still see her. Here, Padma just wasn't. Parvati couldn't see her or hear her voice or anything. She was gone. Even knowing that she was alive and with her out in the world wasn't enough because here Parvati was alone and it hurt.
Once the anger had subsided, she was left with this. She startled slightly when Alphard touched her before she relaxed.
