The longer Alphard stood waiting at the door, the more concerned he grew. When the door finally did open, Parvati was not waiting for him on the other side. In fact, no one was waiting for him on the other side. Alphard furrowed his brow, hesitantly stepping across the threshold of Parvati's house and shutting the door behind him. It was only once he had done that that he noticed her. Usually Parvati was bright, vibrant, the sort of person who drew every eye to her simply by being there. He was unused to this subdued manner. Parvati was gone. He wasn't sure who had taken up her place.
The mention of blood had Alphard's eyes widening, glancing around before crossing the room in several long strides. The bottle was deposited on the coffee table and he was sinking to his knees before her. "S'alright." he murmured, taking up one of her hands in his own and cupping her face in the other. "Oh, sweetheart, I am sorry. I am so sorry." he insisted, his heart squeezed painfully in his chest at the sight of her. Leaning up, he pressed a kiss to her forehead before easily shifting to sit beside her. One arm wrapped around her shoulders to hold her close, the other brought his hand up to smooth other her arm.
