WHO Godric Gryffindor & Aldred
WHAT/WHERE Father-son meeting in Godric's Clearing (tm)
WHEN Friday afternoon
RATING PG13 because Godric has a potty mouth when he's mad. And that's bound to happen.
Not with an open mind did Godric agree to meet in person with his father this evening. The man had been dead for two years in Godric's time, and it was a loss he did not much mourn. He was not yet calmed enough by the passage of years to understand that his father might have been trying to hold on the one way he knew how -- but in truth, that wisdom would not ever fully come to Godric, for he was a stubborn and proud man both now and as an older adult, and he did not easily admit wrongs without severely due cause.
No, he met with Aldred tonight to prove a point - he was more than just another son, he would be more than a small-town priest lost to the faded ink of history! He would become an integral part in the continuation and survival of the magical world. He would travel far and wide, see great sweeps of the known world, and his name would go down in history. His father's village would take his name: Godric's Hollow. And now, Godric had a son, Godolfr, with a woman whose strength of heart and swiftness of mind was nigh unparalleled in all the ages of the world (or at least, he certainly thought so.) He could not be more proud. He would prove everyone wrong.
Still, he approached the meeting place with his arms folded across his chest, a defiant glare etched into his eyes, and his lips pursed together. Godric walked into this event with the mentality that it would prove just as pointless as their snippy exchange over the journals. He would not hide from Aldred, he would not let his friends resolve the situation for him - no. Godric wanted answers. He wanted confrontation, he wanted to act out.
This was his chance.
