What: First meeting after the age change.
Where: The library
When: Wednesday, late afternoon
Rating: TBD
This scene was all too familiar; Lucius waiting anxiously in the library for a family member to arrive. A family member of an age entirely different to the one Lucius knew and was comfortable with. Restless and distracted (he hadn't even bothered to check the overdue books list, his favourite task) he sat at his desk tapping his quill against the wooden surface. His coffee had long grown cold.
For the past few days, he had been trying to recall what eighteen-year-old Narcissa had been like. She wasn't too much different to his wife of 1988, except for the obvious fact that she wasn't his wife. They weren't even courting at that point. If their situations were reversed, Lucius would probably not have come at all. Though Narcissa always had been the more tolerant of the two, particularly where other people were concerned.
Lucius had always admired the youngest Black sister from afar; dignified, elegant, clever, not to mention her pretty face and impressive lineage. Though at the time, he was in no hurry to settle down with anyone. However much his mother had encouraged him to. She hated the thought of him roving around. Not that he ever did, unlike most men in their early twenties he was more interested in politics and real estate than romantic pursuits. As such, his correspondence with Narcissa was limited.
Lucius glanced at the clock. He probably should have inquired as to when Narcissa's classes finished. He worked in time frames and schedules, without them he was lost. It was getting late, surely she wasn't far away.
