...well, not entirely dead. There was a rather bad pipe accident in the apartment complex where I used to live in the middle of June, and I had to pick up and move on very short notice -- I'm sorry for disappearing without word to anyone; it wasn't at all fair to those of you I'd been playing or plotting with. We're just getting settled back in a place of our own, so I am officially back, if you'll have me.
I think I'll need a little time to readjust both to the game and to the new place, so if I'm slow for a week or two, please bear with me. Best ways to get me right now are here, or in Q or Fem's OOC threads, as my Internet connection is a little shaky for the time being and AIM is not working well. Thanks, all, for being patient with me.

How's My Driving?
Activity check has come and gone, and it's HMD time again!
For those new to HMD posts, this is basically a chance for players to offer each other comments, constructive criticism, concerns and thoughts about the way others' characters are being portrayed. The idea is to give people a sense of how they're going with their characters and whether there's anything they can improve on, as well as getting any concerns that folk might have out in the open.
As players aren't always comfortable approaching certain people with criticisms, anonymous commenting is enabled. I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone that whether or not you choose to respond anonymously, all comments should be respectful and constructive. While concrit can sometimes be uncomfortable for the recipient, it ultimately aims to be helpful. Downright criticism and nitpicking simply aren't, and flaming will absolutely not be tolerated.
Although HMDs are completely voluntary, I would strongly encourage people to participate. This is a great opportunity to receive and give valuable feedback, and also to raise and potentially resolve any misunderstandings or issues that might be getting in the way of plot and people's enjoyment of the game. Make the most of it!
If you want to offer your character/s up for comments, just respond to this post with their name/s.

This post serves two purposes:
1) We are back at that stage in which I'm having trouble writing. I could blame the heat, but I think it's just the lack of "writing as procrastination". Which is a shame, really. Apparently I'm living off drabbles, so please, be a kind soul and drop me prompt lists. I won't promise speedy completion, but I want to work my way through all of them, eventually.
2) I'm visiting my grandma from Wednesday to Friday, and since this is about quality time with the old lady, no internet access. See you on the other side, when I return to my slowish slow slowatus.
