Was she in denial? Probably not. She had a firm grasp on everything that happened over the last two years, during this race for the White House -- the lies, the things kept hidden from the people [like the L.A. Times video of Obama with extremists], bad judgement calls, and horrible associations. There was nothing that could keep him from the White House, though, the people were sold on him. Did she compare it to the masses that gathered to cheer on Castro in Cuba, Chavez in Venezuela and Hitler in Germany? Yes, but not aloud. She couldn't say that about her President, she refused to do what Democrats did to Bush for eight years. Instead, she covered the story as best she could without bringing to surface things she knew, things she thought, and things she lived through -- all with a smile and as professional as possible. Capitalism understood her better then anyone else. He knew where she was coming from when it came to the fear of everything going "social" and everything being lost to Socialism, or worse ... communism. She covered the morning events but refused to attend any of the balls or events afterwards and thanked her "boss" for letting her slip out of that. She was back home by late afternoon and was able to soak herself into something else and ignore everything for a while. She worked the evening shows, Hannity, Bill, Greta, before heading over to "Sully's" place.
She knew Capitalism well, she had known him for a while and if there was someone she could vent with -- it was with him, without a doubt. A huff was released as she rubbed her temple with her free hand, the other tightly gripped her drink. She was obviously flustered, her cheeks stained with a flush of pink -- she was feeling this more then she expected. But, if she survived Cater and Clinton, she could survive Obama. She was certain of it, like she was certain the Senate would be red again in two years. "Ugh, this sucks ..."
