She had just won an argument with him. The Democrat. She was proud that she had won. He was erroneous on both counts, the deregulation of Freddie and Fannie was THEIR fault and the war was supported by BOTH parties. She hated when people tried to suggest otherwise. Nonetheless, that didn't erase the way she was feeling in general. She hated the idea of what could come of all of this. Her short glass of coke, rum and melted ice was idly spun in her hand -- the mixture sliding about, ice pieces creating a soft music against the glass. "It hurts my head ... just thinking about everything that could happen."
Of course Republican understood him. They were workers, the BACK BONE of this country. Socialist and Communist ran a muck amongst the Democrats -- always had. She loved how people like the Fonda's were Communists but within the comfort of the United States. They didn't move to Cuba with all their money and have it confiscated by the government in name of the "Revolution." No, they preached Communism but lived like Capitalists and turned their noses up at it. Like some priests -- do as I say and not as I do. It truly made her smile.
"I don't think they've lost faith. I think they're confused." Narrow shoulder shelf rose for a shrug before taking a sip of her drink. The finger tips rubbing at her temple came down, hand resting flat on her thigh. Brown eyes had drifted back toward him, unsatisfied smirk given.
