	I do that sometimes, to keep from hurting people. I don't like conflict, so I avoid it. Maybe I shouldn't, but I do. It's not something I can just turn off because I "shouldn't" have those feelings. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

You're beautiful, smart, curious, intuitive, challenging, and interesting. Other than some of the things you do in your life, I can't think of a reason why I shouldn't like you. I can think of a few reasons and they are all what you stated above. What you're feeling is a physical attraction that has also made you blatantly tell me you have already fantasized about the possibility. This attraction has made me seem desirable and almost untouchable. I give no hint if I am interested in the same idea, which pushes your curiosity.

All of this, everything we feel is driven by attraction and the sheer fear of not being alone. And even as I am writing all of this, it still doesn't answer your question that you may never ask.

I find you attractive.
I would probably sleep with you.
And nothing more.

The act of sex is exactly that. There is nothing romantic or passionate about it. Two people using each other for that single moment of when all things stand still. The emotions someone throws in, of like or love are blinded by the climax. I fuck to climax, not to hold each other through the night and wake to a face that won't be there in a month's time. As for my choices in life, they are my own. I know why I do it. I won't stop. I can't stop.

That's one kind of sex, yes. It has it's merits, as does sex with an emotional connection. I never asked for more from you, cherie. I don't like going into such things with those expectations. It's better for all if they develop naturally, if it is meant for them to develop at all. True, I have felt feelings for you, mostly of friendship, perhaps with the possibility of growing to more, perhaps not. But so you know, I have no intentions of leaving this place.

And for the record, you can stop. Everyone can stop. You just don't have a reason to want to.

I will never intentionally ask more of you than what you are willing to give. And if it happens, it happens by accident, and all you need to do is tell me when I've gone too far and it will stop immediately. If all you want is a good time, I can give that to you. I just don't want to have a good time and then never hear from you again. This place isn't very large, and awkward run-ins really aren't my thing. And while you may "barely offer friendship," you have thus far proven to be a very good friend.

I don't expect you to go looking for a reason. It would be a shame and end in nothing but disaster. But maybe one day a reason will present itself. Just don't brush it aside when it does.
