Laughable at best.

I haven't killed anyone and that is something I am incredibly proud of.

Ah.

I do wish it could be avoided. Alas.

And what is your name?

They were all too happy to murder as many of us as they could.

Marlene McKinnon.

I am aware. That war was quite different from my own.

Hm. You are quite unlike the rest of your kind, Miss McKinnon. In some regards.

What do you mean?

Even those who realize I do not support these Death Eaters do not forgive my acts against muggles. Not that I have asked for any forgiveness, of course.

I don't know you. It's not my place to forgive you or not.

Interesting, as I've said.

Do you want to be forgiven?

Forgiven, no. I hardly care for forgiveness seeing as I do not regret any of my actions. However, some fail to grasp the full extent of my beliefs based on those actions and that is where I find fault in them.

What was the full extent of your beliefs? All we ever learned was for the greater good and really? That could mean anything.

For the greater good of all witching and wizarding kind. To not live in the shadows of muggles, fearing them, doubting our power against them. Our kind has been persecuted and burned out of fear and jealousy from those who do not possess our strengths and so we hide like cowards, satisfied with a statute of secrecy to keep us safe. [...] My intention was to turn the tides and show the others that we should be the ones in power because we have the power. Any magical blood I spilt was only those who got in the way of the greater good, putting off a better future for all of us.

Muggles contribute nothing to our society, and haven't since even before the rebellion. Healy relies on them to carry his regime.

Muggles are only as dangerous as we make them to be. Why should an entire race be prosecuted simply because they lack something we have?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]_greatergood

For one, I am not saying all muggles should pay for the crimes of some, they simply do not deserve the power they have had since the beginning of time. Likewise, my beliefs are not based on simply a lack of magical abilities; it has formed from witnessing the murders of my own people, forced to keep their true talents hidden for fear of death.

That doesn't mean they deserve to be hunted, slaughtered or persecuted for something they have no control over.
