My family was starving, and his army was picking off the Hungarians like flies. I defected. I wanted to be on the winning side, not another dead féleszű. He knew my interest in the Hallows, my research. I knew where Flammel kept it, but it was heavily under guard. I was a stupid child. I should have found a way to take it for myself. I could have built my own army. We would not have the Games.
