What: Comforting a soon-to-be dead babygirl.
Where: The Library
When: After this.
Status/Rating: Closed&In progress/Emotionssss.

Dead. There was such a finality to the short word, a thing that Freddy desperately was trying not to focus on. She hadn't lied; she had drank just enough to be able to poke fun at herself for the fact, to maybe start accepting that there was no way to change it. That was what she had told Hannah, and at the time, she had meant it. But as the alcohol slowly left her system, Freddy's emotions began to bounce around all over the place, nothing staying stable for more than a minute.

She had found the one Harry earlier, got him to go to Honeydukes with her, which provided a much-needed distraction in the form of sweets and company. Even that didn't last long, however, when her alternate father began writing to her.

Freddy hadn't cried; not much anyway. She'd screamed until her throat was raw by the lake, which didn't help, stared blankly at her professors during the day's lessons, which also didn't help; but seeing a version of her Daddy, one of her favorite people in the whole world, writing to her caused a dam to burst that she'd been aware that she was desperately attempting to hold up.

Walking blindly to the library, Freddy chose a table that was far enough back to provide privacy from nosy eyes, and waited. She knew that Molly had said that she'd be able to find her, but she was still anxious. Above all else, she just wanted to know that her Mommy loved her, too.

Never in her wildest imagination would Freddy think that she would leave her parents...well, there was no word for that situation, where a parent lost a child. And Freddy, obviously would never be able to emphasize with that. It was an overwhelming thought, and still one that she couldn't wrap her head around.

She leaned against Molly heavily, allowing herself to be coddled in a way that she'd not allowed herself to be in years. Freddy took the handkerchief from Molly with an incoherent mumble of thanks, before wiping her eyes. As Molly talked, Freddy looked up in her eyes, nodding. "I know it wasn't." Rationally, she really did know this. It was apparent that she hadn't gone to the Battle with the intent of dying. It was just an unfortunate circumstance. "It just hurts. I can't let anyone hurt like that."

Managing to hold herself together for another moment, Freddy pushed her hair behind her left ear, tugging the lobe, a tiny reminder she sometimes did when she wasn't around Georgie. "I don't want to leave you all again."
