Rolf had put one arm around Rose before they’d both touched the timed Port Key to Greece. He was restless and definitely excited. Being in one place for several months had been a lot harder than he’d thought. Though he did long term projects – up to a year at a time, generally – there was usually still a fair amount of travel involved. Being forced into one place had chafed more than he realized, and he needed this vacation.

He grinned happily down at Rose as the whirling feeling of being pulled through space went away. He was an old hand at Port Keys, and he imagined she was as well. “Ready to begin our adventure?” he asked, stepping away but offering her his hand. He gave a jaunty wave to the Ministry official with the other, eager for them to get out into the warm Greek sun and start their fun.

Though Rose had never travelled with her parents in any way that mattered while growing up, she hadn’t been very old before she had been familiar and comfortable with Portkeys. After all, there had been the regular visits to her family in Romania – with her nanny, after her third year she had gone to spend her school holidays with the Cojocarus in Bucharest, and of course during basic training it had been the main form of long-distance transportation. But this time was different. This time she had felt like she had always thought children were feeling on Christmas morning, and had happy to have Rolf’s arm around her before they had left, on the very off chance that she would somehow not touch it at the right time.

With a bright smile she nodded, took his offered hand and tossed the used Portkey – a plush toy dragon – in the bin and grinned at the same Ministry official. Even though this was a holiday, with the intent of doing nothing, there was still something entirely familiar about it all. Of course usually her mind would be on the assignment ahead, but this time it was the burning curiosity to see which place Rolf had settled on. A surprise, he had said, and trust him. She trusted him, always had, but there were so many different aspects to Greece that there hadn’t been a whole lot she could do, other than try to read up on how to be a tourist.

The warmth of the sun outside the Ministry felt amazing, and closing her eyes, Rose tilted her face towards it to savour it for a moment. Fall hadn’t set in completely in London yet, but the Mediterranean heat still felt almost rejuvenating. “Side-along?” she asked when they reached the Apparation point, still not aware of where they were going, and once she had her arms around Rolf’s waste, she heard the familiar incatation before she was squeezed against him from all angles only to, a moment later, appear with a pop at an Apparation point that wished them welcome to “Skopelos?” Rose smirked and unwound her arms from Rolf only to take his hand again like she had at the Greek Ministry. “Nice! I’ve never been here before, but I hear their wine is good.”

Rolf smiled down at her as her head tilted up into the warm sunshine. She was beautiful, and as tempting as the sun was he liked to watch her better in that moment. He felt a little tongue tied, unusual for him, but he was filled with contentment to be there with hern

Rolf held her close to him and concentrated to Apparate. Despite the potential distraction of her, he got them there with no problem. He would never betray her trust in him. Her excitement was catching especially when he was already excited as well. "Yes, Skopelos," he said with a grin. "I've never been either but everything I read and from all I heard was great, so I thought we'd give it a go." He'd sent out plenty of owls asking for adcice on where to go.

"Want to check into the hotel and hit the beach?" He asked. "Or there are trails and other things to do too." Though the thought of basking in the sun a bit was nice, with the coolness of fall already creeping upon them in London. His fingers squeezed hers. "There's plenty of options, my tourist Rose, and we can do anything!"

Rose grinned up at Rolf. True, he had the uncanny ability to make her feel better about almost anything without much effort, but right now, right here, in the sunshine, far away from London and work and worries and concerns, with nothing but 4 days all that to look forward to, it felt as if she just couldn’t stop smiling, couldn’t stop looking at him, couldn’t stop- She tightened her fingers around his. This was new. Not the physicality or even standing or walking close, but holding hands? That was new, and she wasn’t sure she wanted it to stop. “Plenty of options,” she agreed, her eyes dancing with what excitement for what lay ahead of them. “So let’s get to the hotel and then the beach before the sun sets.”

Finding the hotel was easy enough, as was getting checked in, and when they got to their room – or rather small studio flat – it became clear just why this was where they were staying. The place wasn’t too big but not too small either, not particularly fancy, but still clean and with an amazing view over the town and the water. Rose made quick work of changing out of her dragon hide trousers and tank top and into her bikini, pulling a summer dress over the bikini she had found for this trip, and soon they were walking down the street again. Holding hands… again.

He'd chosen the hotel on a recommendation of a friend he'd worked with a few years ago. It was very nice, but affordable. He flopped experimentally on the bed and tested a pillow, grinning. Good pillows. He liked pillows. He smiled happily as they exchanged small talk through the doors and walls as they got changed. He went ahead and changed into his trunks and pulled on a shirt. Scars, some thick and some still livid looking, crept out from under his trunks in the back, down his thigh and the back of his knee, tapering off lightly down the calf.

It was easy to forget about all of that, though, including the lingering limp, as he caught sight of her again. "Cute, Rosie," he told her before taking her hand again. It was new, but it felt natural and he rather liked it, and she had yet to pull hers from his, so he left it there. It left a warm feeling in his chest.

"C'mon," he said, tugging on her as they reached the sand. The waters were clear and gorgeous, begging to be jumped in. "Let's go, Rosie." He stripped his shirt off and tossed it and the towel he'd grabbed above the tide line, baring more mauling scars as well as a variety of others he'd earned before, during, and after Hogwarts for various things. Laughing, he ran backwards slowly, beckoning her to hurry. "I'm going to beeeeat you!"

Cute. It had been years since she had worn anything that could be described as cute, but cute fit a holiday. Cute fit holding Rolf’s hand as they walked through the streets, lined by white houses and the sun shining down on them. Cute was the perfect match for the light feeling that was settling in her and the way she wanted to breath in deeply simply to take in all of this.

Almost provocatively slowly did Rose unzip her dress, shimmying out of it as she smirked at the impatient Rolf beckoning her – taunting her – from the edge of the water until she was wearing only the fairly simple bikini that had called to her amidst the bright and floral alternatives.

Rose glanced down at Rolf. His scars, although a reminder of something horrible, seemed to have become a natural part of his body though she wished the limp would disappear completely. That limp was what had her hesitate for a moment, however reminding herself that physically Rolf was her superior, by far, had her simply grin before she set off at a sprint towards him. “Says who?” she grinned before she made a leap in a full out attempt of tackling him backwards into the clear water behind him.

He watched her intently, trying to pretend he wasn't but likely failing. Rolf and subterfuge didn't go together very well. He wondered if she knew how sexy that little shimmy was. And her bikini was simple but very appealing as well. At this point, though, Rolf was pretty sure he'd like her in just about anything.

He wondered for a second if she was going to go easy on him, but she assured him when she took off running at him. He took a solid stance in ankle deep water and opened his arms, catching her straight on and twirling on his good knee. He knew better than to just toss her, because she was wicked strong and would take him down too, so he managed a full rotation and flung them both into deeper water, taking a deep breath as he did so to keep from sputtering too badly. "Gotcha!" he said when they surfaced.

One day, Rose had sworn years ago, she would be able to tackle Rolf by knocking him over backwards. One day, of course, was all an idea, and she knew that it was a very unlikely idea to ever come true, but that didn’t mean that she was going to just give up on it. And she knew very well that today she wasn’t going to succeed either, when Rolf simply wrapped his arms around her and flung both of them into deeper water. Instinct took over, when she clung tightly to him, shrieking with excited joy just before they went under, and she was laughing when they came back up.

Brushing first her own wet hair out of her face, she was still grinning when she let go with one arm and gently brushed the water off his brow and his short hair back. “Says who?” she countered again, purposely ignoring the desire to keep this close to him, to feel his warm skin against hers with the cooler water around them, when she wriggled out of his hold, and dove back under only to resurface quite a bit further out where she could no longer reach the bottom.

She nearly rocked him off his feet, and he knew one day she'd catch him offguard enough that she'd get him down. Oddly enough he looked forward to that day; he found her competence in such things was attractive and it made him proud of her. He laughed with her as they surfaced, enjoying far too much the way she clung to him. His smile was soft and lopsided when she brushed the water from his face.

"Tricksy one!" He declared as she wiggled and slipped out of his grasp. He took aff after her with strong strokes, for swimming was definitely something he did well. He dove just as she surfaced, toes just flicking the top of the water. He dove deep and under her as she looked around, and mischievously he started tweaking her toes before putting his hand around her ankle and pulling her, giving her just enough time to take a breath.

Rose only just saw the ripple of Rolf’s toes when she turned to look at him. The water, while clear, still distorted what she could see and Rolf’s intentions weren’t part of that. With a laugh, she wriggled her toes when she felt him tweak them and took a deep breath before he pulled her under.

Opening her eyes, it took her a beat to adjust, but when she does the first thing she saw was Rolf’s face and her first thought was that he had been under the water for far too long. Without thinking, she swam to him and with a hand behind his neck pressed her lips to his, parting them slightly, to share the air she had as she kicked her legs to get them both back to the surface.

Rolf knew his limits, and he wasn't in danger just yet, though he was getting close to needing to surface. However, his arm wrapped around her waist and his surprise had his mouth opening under hers, allowing the exchange of air. He kicked automatically as well, a little overwhelmed by the sensory input he was getting.

He had daydreamed of kissing her, both in the far past and most recently. He certainly hadn't expected it though, even in this manner. They broke the surface and they both gasped for air. One hand found its way into her wet hair; the other helped to keep them afloat by treading water. "Rosie," he whispered, his forehead tilting to rest against hers. His lips were a breath from hers, then ghosted over hers lightly, salty from the sea water but warm. He didn't know if she might want it or if he'd mistaken her help of air for something more, but he couldn't seem to help himself.

With Rolf, things just worked and usually without either of them saying anything. Like now, when he was holding her with one arm while keeping them afloat with the other, it came completely natural for Rose to do the same thing to keep the balance.

The brush of his lips against hers was brief, barely there, but even through the salt, she could taste him, feel him, just like the heat of his body against hers made the chill of the water disappear. She heard his whisper, and nodded, well aware that she should do what she could to dunk him under the water, give him more time to think this through, to make sure he was ready; just because she had known for years, didn’t mean that he was there too. Except…

Tilting her head ever so slightly, she closed her lips around his upper-lip, her fingers tightening on his shoulder and just the briefest of moments hope that she wasn’t ruining more than they were gaining.

Something inside loosened and unraveled when she kissed him back, relief and a giddy, thrilling into every part of him. It wasn't just him. She felt it too. The worry he'd held and thought about at night lately eased and disappeared, at least for now, replaced by a feeling of rightness he'd never felt in any of his few other relationships.

His head tilted and his lips met hers more firmly, discarding hesitation in favor of pursuing this wonderful thing that seemed to have happened. He'd repressed the desire to do this for years, hidden even from himself. His lips parted slightly against hers, urging her silently to do the same.

It didn’t take much urging. Parting her lips, her tongue flicked out, first to tease and taste though soon it became as part of an intimate dance as the kiss deepened. Though she had known how she felt about Rolf, knowing that that wouldn’t change no matter how long or even if he never felt the same way, she had never dreamed of kissing him. Like she had told Susan, she had never felt lust and friendship for the same person, but holy Helga she was making up for that now.

Forgetting herself for a moment, Rose cupped Rolf’s cheek, smiling into the kiss, though was almost immediately reminded of their less than stable location, when her lack of treading water threatened to make them sink. “Roff,” she murmured, the kiss easing off into small, heated kisses to his lips. “Closer to land,” she tried, trying to urge him closer to shore. “Just so,” her voice tapered off into a soft moan when the kiss deepened again. “Bottom.”

They bobbled slightly in the water, and he automatically fluttered his legs and worked a little more to keep them afloat. Though the kissing Rose thing was very new, being in the water wasn't. He was utterly involved in the slide of his tongue against hers, the warmth of her amid the cooler water, and her enthusiasm that filled him with joy.

He made a faintly dismayed sound when the kiss eased off, leaning in and pursuing her lips until they were locked again, exploring her mouth as best he could while keeping them afloat. Her words processed after a little bit of time, and he broke the kiss and pressed his lips against her jaw, groaning quietly. "Mm, shore, yes," he finally said, wrapping an arm around her and glancing around to make sure he knew where the shore was. She filled his senses and he wasn't actually sure what direction until he looked.

"C'mon, Rosie," he murmured, using his free arm to stroke toward the shore, taking her with him.

It wasn’t that Rose wasn’t a strong swimmer, she was; Rolf was just stronger than her, just like it wasn’t that she actually wanted to stop kissing; she just wanted to be in a place where the kisses would be interrupted by them sinking if they got carried away... when they got carried away.

As Rolf began to swim, Rose urged him onto his back, her own arms looped around his neck so he could use both of his. She liked this distribution; Rolf swimming them closer to shore as she kissed from his chest to his neck, her body sliding up along his. She paused by his jaw, nuzzling his cheek with a soft purr until her lips found his again. “Just ‘till you can reach the bottom,” she murmured, slowly teasing her tongue against his upper lip until she with a smiled licked into a kiss.

It would be, he thought, a bad thing to drown, though if he drowned kissing her, it might just be worth it. He knew that was cheesy, but he couldn't help it. It was as if everything had suddenly shifted into place, or perhaps that he finally realized that he should have been here all along.

He shifted onto his back, moving easily enough though her body pressed all along his was extremely distracting. All he wanted to do was arch into her lips, to peel off that suit so the rest of her skin pressed up against his. He groaned softly as he swam, and finally her kiss stuttered him to a stop, arm wrapping around her as they shifted upright, his feet luckily finding the ground.

Both arms free of duty now, they went around her and pulled her tighter against him. He coaxed her tongue into his mouth and sucked gently. One hand strayed down, curving around her hip, thumb moving back and forth over the edge of her suit.

Rose didn’t need any coaxing; wrapping her legs around Rolf’s narrow hips felt completely natural, like this was how they were meant to be. She chuckled into the kiss, happily following his lead as she lost herself in the kiss, in the feeling of their tongues tangled in a playful duel and his skin – hot against hers – so different from all the other times they had been this close. Those times, however, they had been sparring or playing, it had been innocent, where this? This held the promise of so much more.

Tightening her legs around him, she pulled herself closer, her fingers delving into his short, wet hair. She arched her back, wanting to feel his hands, urging him on or at least not pushing him away. “I can’t believe how good you feel,” she murmured, nuzzling her nose against his cheek before she playfully bit his earlobe and kissed the side of his neck.

He took her movement as encouragement, his hands stroking down her wet back to splay across her hips and then partway down her arse, pulling her tight against him. His lips pressed kisses along her jaw, and then nudged his nose along it, pushing it up so he could kiss along her throat.

"You are so amazing," he told her, nuzzling playfully at the strap of her bikini top before moving back over to her collarbone. It surpassed any imaginings he'd had. His hands stroked back up, brushing the sides of her breasts.

With a chuckle, Rose lolled her head as Rolf directed, each little kiss making her moan softly. Somewhere in the back of her head she knew that this oughtn’t to feel different from any of the other times they had played or he had held her, kissed her to make her feel better. Oh, she felt better, alright. Her nipples had peaked into hard pebbles that were pushing against her bikini top, rubbing against his chest with each move, and Rolf’s excitement pushing against her made her aware of a warm wetness that had nothing to do with the water around them.

She shivered under his touch, almost mewling with frustration of him being so close, so close and yet not close at all. His hand was so teasingly close to her breast that she couldn’t help the slight twist of her torso, just to feel a little more. “Tell me what you want,” she murmured and sucked gently on his pulse point.

It took only that small bit of encouragement for Rolf's much larger hand to splay over her breast, squeezing. He could feel the nub of her nibble rub against his palm, and he groaned into her skin. It was exciting, intoxicating, to know that he was making her react that way. His other hand joined in on the other breast, and his fingers pinched lightly through the material.

"I want you, Rosie," he told her honestly. He turned his head and captured her lips in a long, heated kiss. He nibbled lightly at her lower lip, drawing it out before speaking again. "Anything you'll give me. I want you." Not just like this, though oh yes like this was definitely a desire; he wanted her in a more lasting way. He wanted all they were to each other already, and this. "Around me, with me, everything."

Rose gasped. A shock of pleasure shot through her when Rolf pinched her nipple, his other hand so large, so warm, so… she tightened her legs around his hips and let her toes tickle down the back of his thigh.

The sincerity, honesty, in Rolf’s voice was warming. If she hadn’t known him the way she did, she had no doubt it would be overwhelming; it had been overwhelming when at 16 – when she had returned for her 6th year at Hogwarts and Rolf wasn’t there – she had realised that she had found the one thing she had never believed in: her soul mate as the romantics would call it, though she still preferred the more down to earth other half of her orange. His kiss left her breathless, and all she could do was look up into his face, her fingers carding through his hair as he told her he wanted her. Not just her, but her, and not just sex either. “All of me,” she whispered, then smiled softly. “If you think you can handle it, I want to give you all of me.”

Her gasp went right through him. He shivered faintly, but not with cold. Definitely not with cold. His hips pressed firmly against hers for a moment, and he sucked slowly on her lower lip.

Rolf kissed each corner of her mouth, slowly and lingeringly, before kissing her straight on again. "Mmm, it might kill me, but I think I'll give it a try," he said, teasing her gently. His forehead tilted against hers, eyes meeting hers. "But in all seriousness, yes. Please, love. You have all of me in return."

Rose smiled into the kiss, chuckling softly at his teasing; his words making a warmth unlike any she had ever felt spread through her body. “I want you, too,” she said softly, her eyes never straying from his. “Around me,” she kissed the seam of his lips, “with me,” she kissed the other side of his mouth. “In me,” she whispered, her tongue darting out to tease his upper-lip. “Everything.”

She ground her hips against him, moaning softly as the kiss deepened. Sweet Helga, she wanted him, and he wanted her and she wasn’t entirely certain that she was dream it all. “Do you have your spare wand?” she asked, her lips never losing touch with his. “I want you, love.”

The way she kissed was going to drive him wild; or maybe it was only her. He didn't know, he only knew that he'd never felt this kind of intensity before in his life. He shuddered faintly at her words, wanting her in all ways, though those particular words made him most definitely think of a way to get her out of that bikini.

One hand went up into her hair, not caring it was wet. "Mmm. Yes," he admitted. His thinner, lighter wand was in a special seam down the side of his trunks; he'd had one put there despite a strange look, because Rolf hated to go unarmed despite his physical skills. He reached down and touched the wand, having to concentrate quite hard in order to Apparate them back to the room, because she was terribly distracting, wrapped around him like she was.

They appeared in the middle of the common room, and he only stumbled slightly, arms wrapped tightly around her to keep her safe. He grinned proudly at her. "Much better. Even if we are dripping on the carpet," he said with a deep chuckle.

Impressed with his Apparation skills, Rose pulled his head down for a deep kiss to make up for the discomfort of this form of transportation. Purring into the kiss, she unwound her legs and slid down his body, pressing close against him. “That’s what housekeeping is for,” she grinned against his lips, then brushed her nose against his. “I like your laugh. ‘S sexy.”

She kept her arms around his neck, her lips against his and her body pressed as close to his as she possibly could, when she took a step backwards in the general direction of the beds. “It’s like you. My gods, Rolf,” and another step, one hand caressing down over his shoulder, over his amazingly sculpted torso. “You’re so amazing and I really don’t want to go slow any longer.”

Her movement earned a groan. Being so much shorter than him, the distance down was quite far, it felt, and very tantalizing. "You're sexy," he told her honestly. "Good gods, Rose, you're gorgeous." But to him it wasn't just physical beauty, though she had that; it was everything about her he found enticing and beautiful.

He laughed again for her, for once not intending to argue as he was complimented. He relished such a compliment from her and intended to prove it as true. Besides, he didn't feel like going slow right now either. "Well, then, we don't have to go slow," he said, an utterly mischievous expression coming across his face. He scooped her up into his arms, careful only that he didn't throw himself onto his bad leg too hard, and got them over to one of the beds, he didn't know or care which one it was because tonight he planned on sleeping in the same one as her.

He tumbled them both onto the bed, laughing and grinning before he leaned in and kissed her long and hard, arms supporting his body above hers. "I want to get you out of that little thing," he told her. "I want to see you." All of her, that he'd get to kiss and touch and love.

Rose laughed, flattered and touched by his compliments. It was new, this level of compliments, it was vain and shallow but so different from the years when it had all been friendly and based on their insides. There wasn’t a shadow of doubt in her, that Rolf loved her for her who she was and not for her body or breasts or anything else like this, but this level of pure, unadulterated lust added to all of the deep feelings that had been there for years was refreshing and intoxicating.

Rolf’s laugh really did do things to her. She had heard him laugh before, but never like this, never with want for her lacing through it, almost making it sound like a rumbling growl. Rose felt like she could drown in Rolf’s eyes. Rose gasped for air, her heart pounding in her chest and the lines of where she ended and Rolf started were a joyful, indistinct blur. Slowly, as his voice became actual words and she could once again tell them apart, she began rolling her hips against him again, careful not to move out of his embrace. “Hmm,” Rose hummed, nodding and nipping softly at Rolf’s lips, “we did.” She rested her head down onto his chest and watched him, watched his long, elegant fingers wrap around his wand, smiling at the thought that in the very near future she would have those fingers explore her in ways they hadn’t taken time for just now. Once the incantation had been cast, she slid off of him – sighing softly as she felt him slip out of her – and snuggled against his side.

She watched as their things slipped through the window, and as soon as it was on the floor – where she had no problem with it staying; she wasn’t getting up to move it – she flicked her wrist and summoned her wand from the pile. “I could get used to this holiday thing,” she grinned up at him and draped her leg over his waist. “And us.”
