They bobbled slightly in the water, and he automatically fluttered his legs and worked a little more to keep them afloat. Though the kissing Rose thing was very new, being in the water wasn't. He was utterly involved in the slide of his tongue against hers, the warmth of her amid the cooler water, and her enthusiasm that filled him with joy.
He made a faintly dismayed sound when the kiss eased off, leaning in and pursuing her lips until they were locked again, exploring her mouth as best he could while keeping them afloat. Her words processed after a little bit of time, and he broke the kiss and pressed his lips against her jaw, groaning quietly. "Mm, shore, yes," he finally said, wrapping an arm around her and glancing around to make sure he knew where the shore was. She filled his senses and he wasn't actually sure what direction until he looked.
"C'mon, Rosie," he murmured, using his free arm to stroke toward the shore, taking her with him.
